    I remember during top 30 interviews, there was this other question which said "how would you handle a situation where you find yourself in a scandal" so we're still waiting to see how she handles this

    Bullying is NEVER acceptable! And it is unfortunate that this is part of her past.
    However, it's not to say she can't be a better person in the here and now.

      I doubt that she has changed. If she had, she should’ve sought forgiveness from her victims. Assaulting people is not like offence; it’s a decision to act violently.

    LALELA MSWANE, Miss Universe SOUTH AFRICA
    Question: Should tweets and social media comments form a person in their teenage years be held against them years later?
    Answer: I believe that everybody should be held accountable for their actions. And if a person doesn’t know how to act on social media, they should be canceled. I believe in cancel culture. In the same way, I also believe in redemption culture, and hoping that the person has matured and has learned better and done better. I hope that they could do better and be redeemed, so I do believe that they can grow and be allowed to do that.
    Even though it's not part of cyber bullying, should we not believe in the answer given by Lalela at the Miss Universe Competition? What happened to Redemption Culture, should we not give Levern a change to prove that she has changed should the accusation be true?

      Very important thing to figure out, i think its just really hard to believe someone has changed, especially when she has allegedly practically emotionally abused not just one but many pupils at the time. The extent of action matters. We can't just forgive you after so much. If it was an isolated incident then we can look away but a pattern of behaviour, that is something to look at!

    • @kylj5778
      @kylj5778 Год назад +3

      I can't speak for other people, but personally i believe that if the allegations are true, and she was held accountable for her action when she was a teen, it should not have an affect on her current life. If she got punished for what she did, she has paid her debt, why punish somebody twice for an act that somebody was pushnished for already (if she was held accountable/punished)

      I don't know which side to pick because I've been in a similar situation where people accused me of bullying just because I didn't agree with their opinions on something it sucks to have so many people gang up on you I wonder how levern will deal with this I don't know if she's truly a bully or these people are just jealous of her,
      in high-school there are different sqauds & some sqauds fight with each other so maybe that's her situation maybe she wasn't a bully she was part of a high-school Fued so now people want to attack her to get back at her especially cause she's pretty alot of girls hate pretty girls in school but if she's guilty then she needs to prove herself & apologies maybe step down from the top 12.

    Something crossed my mind; I don't know if it's an appropriate point to raise or not but I'm gonna put it out there:
    Men are forbidden to compete on the Miss South Africa pageant but women who were previously "men" are welcome. Can't we make the same judgements with bullies? People change, we evolve, we change our minds and we regrets some of the things we have done. Yes, we can't turn a blind eye on the matter but I think...
    1. She needs to own up to her actions, acknowledge the people she has hurt in the past, knowingly and unknowingly.
    2. What steps has she taken in the past to rehabilitate herself, has she done any donations to school, undergo any counseling or therapy for the issues she was dealing with, stood up for any bullying or any form of abuse publicly?
    3. What's her advocacy within the competition and what steps is she planning to take in life to redeem herself from being a bully and save other scholars from bullying.

  • @mirjamlebbeus608
    @mirjamlebbeus608 Год назад

    I wish Levern could speak out on this ,we need to hear her side of the story.
    And yeah,what happened to redemption culture ?
    What is Levern's advocacy?
    Am sure she changed and we shouldn't just fight for her to be removed and be negative about her.
