I remember during top 30 interviews, there was this other question which said "how would you handle a situation where you find yourself in a scandal" so we're still waiting to see how she handles this
Bullying is NEVER acceptable! And it is unfortunate that this is part of her past. However, it's not to say she can't be a better person in the here and now.
I doubt that she has changed. If she had, she should’ve sought forgiveness from her victims. Assaulting people is not like offence; it’s a decision to act violently.
LALELA MSWANE, Miss Universe SOUTH AFRICA Question: Should tweets and social media comments form a person in their teenage years be held against them years later? Answer: I believe that everybody should be held accountable for their actions. And if a person doesn’t know how to act on social media, they should be canceled. I believe in cancel culture. In the same way, I also believe in redemption culture, and hoping that the person has matured and has learned better and done better. I hope that they could do better and be redeemed, so I do believe that they can grow and be allowed to do that. Even though it's not part of cyber bullying, should we not believe in the answer given by Lalela at the Miss Universe Competition? What happened to Redemption Culture, should we not give Levern a change to prove that she has changed should the accusation be true?
Very important thing to figure out, i think its just really hard to believe someone has changed, especially when she has allegedly practically emotionally abused not just one but many pupils at the time. The extent of action matters. We can't just forgive you after so much. If it was an isolated incident then we can look away but a pattern of behaviour, that is something to look at!
I can't speak for other people, but personally i believe that if the allegations are true, and she was held accountable for her action when she was a teen, it should not have an affect on her current life. If she got punished for what she did, she has paid her debt, why punish somebody twice for an act that somebody was pushnished for already (if she was held accountable/punished)
I don't know which side to pick because I've been in a similar situation where people accused me of bullying just because I didn't agree with their opinions on something it sucks to have so many people gang up on you I wonder how levern will deal with this I don't know if she's truly a bully or these people are just jealous of her, in high-school there are different sqauds & some sqauds fight with each other so maybe that's her situation maybe she wasn't a bully she was part of a high-school Fued so now people want to attack her to get back at her especially cause she's pretty alot of girls hate pretty girls in school but if she's guilty then she needs to prove herself & apologies maybe step down from the top 12.
If you were never been bullied, you would never understand, I was a victim in primary and high school, so I totally understand, and its triggering. Healing take years.😢 I follow Miss South Africa Organization and the shows for some time now, this is not a good look at the moment. Love your reviews and keep up the good work.
Mhh I wonder why she keeps changing names... I don't think there's anything they can do since there's no "evidence". They probably won't place her in top 5 by default.
Same, I think it's a high-school Fued so all the people complaining about her were also Mean girls, cause why would she enter miss SA more than once if she was aware of her past as a bully?
Good analysis Rina.Levern has to explain,if she was a bully but has matured learning from her mistakes she just has to tell the truth with honesty.Didn't Bianca Schoombe admit her awful behaviour accepting the consequences?
And the truth is the Miss SA org has filmed content even some episodes of crown chasers with Levern So they are probably trying to find a way to let her go quietly
@@RinaHendriks however, some people have 4 different names. I have 5 names on my ID and they all speak to who am I and I feel pride when I introduce myself with all of them. She might feel the same as well..
@@RinaHendriks but those are all her names 👀 there’s nothing pretentious about it. If I had to introduce myself with all my names , would you see that as pretentious?
We say same to rapists and physically abusive people. We checked when they committed such acts and agree to move on right. If it happens in high school we forgive and forget, yayyyy💃🏿💃🏿🤟🏾
Lavern should be removed from the Top 12 this is not role model behavior, bring Barbara back or we need another Indian in the Top 12. Sad...there were so many more deserving girls. This will certainly put the organization into a bad light. ☹️
She was a kid🤦🏿 I will blame the school and the teachers They should have made noises back then when the situation was happening now they see a girl chasing her dream they speaking up 🤦🏿I don’t like this. I feel like you guys are bullying this girl. I hope she is strong enough to deal with this
Something crossed my mind; I don't know if it's an appropriate point to raise or not but I'm gonna put it out there: Men are forbidden to compete on the Miss South Africa pageant but women who were previously "men" are welcome. Can't we make the same judgements with bullies? People change, we evolve, we change our minds and we regrets some of the things we have done. Yes, we can't turn a blind eye on the matter but I think... 1. She needs to own up to her actions, acknowledge the people she has hurt in the past, knowingly and unknowingly. 2. What steps has she taken in the past to rehabilitate herself, has she done any donations to school, undergo any counseling or therapy for the issues she was dealing with, stood up for any bullying or any form of abuse publicly? 3. What's her advocacy within the competition and what steps is she planning to take in life to redeem herself from being a bully and save other scholars from bullying.
I wish Levern could speak out on this ,we need to hear her side of the story. And yeah, what happened to redemption culture ? What is Levern's advocacy? Am sure she changed and we shouldn't just fight for her to be removed and be negative about her.
A lot of us were affected by bullies so much so that others ended their lives others left schools etc, not really a fàn of such dont even know how react as also was bullied through out my schooling years
The Miss SA org seems to not care. Coz the allegations came out before the top12 was announced. They are not managing or spinning this at all. That to me says they don't deem it worth addressing. Which is a shame.

Why people never complained under her entry video? Are they jealous that she advanced?
This seems like a spicy setup people. Twitter/Whatsapp are gossip platforms for trolls.

then they must bring the girl that come in 13th place to fill that spot.

I agree with Wande, each name has its own story - she even said so in her introduction video..
So again, what’s pretentious about that?
Lol no it's all over Twitter. Her school mates are coming up and explainingeverything

The first tweet was after top 30 just that it didn't trend
One girl came out after top 30 and she still made top 12
Another green monster story. Why wait 6 years? Jealousy is a horrible thing. You go Levern show those fools how its done.
Petty high school drama. Let the girl be!
It's about representation of our country and being the best role model... not the GIRL!!
Sounds like a high school verbal spat over a boy...nothing more.

We don't condone bullying on any level, but to be held accountable for things you did in primary school is a bit too harsh.
Why wait this long..why did you not sound the alarm when you saw her entering the competition
She will make it to top 5, wait and see.
