I really don’t know why this video isn’t at the top of the search results, it’s way better than any other demo for all of them. I mean it’s the man himself, it was like 10 plus videos down.

After watching several RUclips videos I just purchased the Golden Brownie. I have tons of pedals so I don't really need one, but I just had to add that one to my collection. Great brown sound, small footprint, and reasonable price. Really looking forward to trying it!

The Golden Brownie is a winner! Best sounding EVH brown sounding high gain distortion pedal I've ever used. It knocked my beloved Tonebone Hot British distortion pedal off of my pedal board. Amazing rich, tight distortion that has a silky smooth feel under my fingers that's hard to describe. The Golden Brownie is 1/5th the size of my Tonebones (Am Classic & Hot Brit), and about 1/2 the price. Amazing! Thank you Thomas!

Stratodan 27 is it noisy? Background hiss etc ?

    • @stratodan27
      @stratodan27 7 лет назад +3

Not sure. I run my dirt pedals thru a noise suppressor so I never hear any unwanted noise. This weekend I'll check it out with the noise suppressor turned off. All overdrive pedals have some noise and hiss, so I expect this one to have some as well. I'll let you know what I hear.

Hey Justin. So I turned off my noise suppressor and listened to the Golden Brownie while I wasn't playing. Yes, there's some noise there. It's actually not bad though...not a lot for a high gain distortion pedal, but you I do hear some hiss and that background "sssssssssshhhhhhhhh" sound that we all know and love. That's the reason I started using a noise suppressor about 25 years ago. I like to use a fair amount of gain and sometimes stack my dirt boxes into each other. The noise suppressor takes care of any noise issues for me. I use the Boss NS2. I have 2 boards, and each one has an NS2 on it. I run all my noisy pedals thru the noise suppression loop in the pedal, and then the signal goes out to my chorus, delay and reverb type pedals so those pedals don't hit the noise suppression loop.
Noise suppressors/gates are not for everyone, but they work for me. I'll probably make a RUclips vid soon going thru my board. Noise is the one thing I never have to worry about. :)

    Wow, Thomas!
Very intriguing set of mini pedals you've come up with. I'm ordering the Brownie right now!

I can vouch for the Tube Squasher for pushing a gain channel on lowish gain. Fat and singing lead tone. I use the AMP 1 mostly on clean channel with a Boogie MkIIc amp model from my Zoom G2, pushed by the Tube Squasher. Thomas makes some fantastic gear, the Nanocab is awesome

Once again top quality and sounding material. I have an amp1 which is my main amp and I will buy the tube squash and a sweet leo for different purposes... if you keep like that we need to negotiate better because my wage goes away with your products:) keep up the good job and wish you the best!!!

okay thomas, its OBVIOUS where this all needs to go. time to put everything into one unit. the looping, the effects etc. like a kemper except without the modeling/profiling whatever you want to call it. I would buy an all-in-one unit. Your stuff sounds great and is intelligently thought out. But I don't want to buy all of these separate pieces. Give us a whole system in one package! Thank you :)

Thomas, are the pickups in that strat vintage fender or replacements. It sounds amazing like all of your videos. I want a GLADIUS amp so bad. Thought I wanted the 68' build but I might want the JTM-18, one of everything!!!

The tube squasher actually decreases the gain if I keep it below 10:00 - how to use it as a clean boost, like a tubescreamer?

Gut klingendes Pedal - gefällt mir sogar besser als mein Marshall Governor, den ich jahrelang gespielt habe - ausgewogeneres Klangbild und gute Kompression bei höherem Gain. Rauscht nur deutlich mehr als der Governor.
