I was just telling my niece about you guys yesterday. She’s graduating from college, wants to move to Portugal and to be financially free of course. You know I had to refer her to y’all.❤
All sounds good, but unfortunately 😕 if you live in the USA is high risk to be responsible in storing people stuff , rent them space etc. You will need additional property insurance, plus an umbrella policy and a lawyer handy. The risk of a potential law suit is high, again this is specific to the litigious nature and system in the USA.
If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. However, people will have to accept ''reality'' that we won't ever return to 3%. I now look towards the stock market to fuel my millionaire goal. Sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.
Great ideas, but wouldn’t work for small housed city dwellers in the Netherlands- except in some cases for the Airbnb when you’re not around yourself. We just don’t have land, a big backyard, and all roofs are already filled with (our own) solar panels for which we now even have to pay to the electricity companies because there are too many 😮. Still, will think of other ideas!
I was just looking into the carbon credits you mentioned since we have a lot of family land. This is what the carbon credit capital website said when I was trying to find the program: we do not directly pay individuals for maintaining their forests So, was this just something you heard about and didn't do quite enough research or is there something I'm missing?
same here I looked at the carbon credit capital website and spent some time researching the website and even reached out to support, they said there is no option to pay individuals for maintaining trees in their private property. Same with Weyerhaeuser. Maybe I'm missing something
I went to a retirement seminar this past year and the most confusing part of it was the health insurance after I retired. I am still confused. After watching some videos online, I don't feel like I will ever have enough money to actually retire.
Just don’t ever get an advantage plan, those r privatized which means a higher percentage of denials. Get regular Medicare, which 95% of docs accept with a b and d supplemental plan
🎉I mention you guys everywhere, my everyday conversations, and my comments on any of my FB group that I belong to. I am a huge fan of your videos, for sure. Take care and thank you for all your valueble information. ❤U guys. Where did you guys move to? Inquiring minds want to know.
Hi Aman & Christina, Serious question: I've started my process to move to Portugal next year. Lately some doubts have creeped in as I've been comparing the Algarve to Costa del Sol in Spain. With the loss of the NHR, Spain actually seems to be a better deal if you want to live in Andalusia (which would be my choice) because that region of Spain does not have a wealth tax and housing is less expensive with more options. As I'm comparing the two side by side, Spain (Andalusia) is coming out on top financially because housing prices in the Algarve has risen so much since I was there in 2022. Also, healthcare premiums are going up and cars are about $10,000.00 more in Portugal than Spain. Gas and groceries are also more expensive in Portugal than Spain. Of course the other thing Spain has going for it, is the Med is 10 degrees warmer than the Atlantic in the Algarve. I have friends in the Algarve and I'm planning to move to the Tavira area. The two advantages I see for Portugal are that you can get your citizenship three years faster and the Portuguese people are generally very warm and kind. So my question to you guys is..... If you had to do it all over again today without the NHR and with the current housing market, would you still choose Portugal or would you look elsewhere?
Great thoughts! I started investing earlier this year. with a start of 70k. I made my first 500k USD last month. Today, I have a decent $950K nest egg. My only regret is not starting earlier. This comment serves as motivation for all those who haven't made returns from investments, do not give up, the right investments will change your life. I should retire soon as long as things remain this good
But I heard someone did that that film crew trashed the house. Made holes in everywhere damage house hold goods, furniture, or structures it self. Use tons of electrics in a day.

And the there’s the neighbor app that takes care all that for you.
Definitely, too many unstable people in the USA. You are inviting a trouble 😜
This is GENIUS.

Solar lease is a horrible idea. The company makes you pay them monthly, not the other way around…

Hi There 😊
Thanks for the ideas!
Are you ever going to tell us WHERE you moved to?
But I heard someone did that that film crew trashed the house.
Made holes in everywhere damage house hold goods, furniture, or structures it self.
Use tons of electrics in a day.
OMG I'm the first to comment on an Our Rich Journey video! Well to be fair, they "had me at index funds".
Whats up with the shirt bro?
Hello
