There is too much stress on the welds. Add a clip on ring that goes directly below the connection points for the belt and you can increase the longevity of the weldment.
You can also just use a loop of 1" rockclimbing webbing. Cinch it around the knurling of the barbell at the suitable location. Then pop a piece of split electrical conduit (approx 4" long) over the rest of the knurling, between the collar and the webbing, to stop the webbing from sliding up the barbell.
This just might be the belt squat solution that makes belt squats doable without going broke in the process. I had been holding out for a solution that doesn’t cause any knee shear. Thank you, Kyle, for your continued creativity that continues to support the home gym community. Is there a known load capacity, especially for the furthest hole? Didn’t see any specific notes on the website.

When I get mine I’m gonna setup in front of my rack so I can use a chain setup like they show on rep fitness for their belt squat attachment plus I can hold on to the smith bar for balance and of course my adjustable plyo platforms, I like this cause now I can do narrow stance for quad dominant. Sorry for making long comment.

I don’t know if you’ll remember but there was a nice piece called the Zane leg blaster by former bodybuilder Frank Zane , anyway maybe you could do some kind of diy with that.
I do them using the old concreted in washing line pole at the top of the garden for the hand grab. For the weight aspect I use a sled harness which holds a tricep bar behind my back. You don’t need masses of weight. 10kg 1” plates are just the ticket. If you’re doing them correctly it’s a bit like the Tom Platz hack squat variant where you’re going on your toes at the bottom. Half hack, half sissy squat.
Hello, is there a reason why the surface that hold your feet is angled upwards? It’s like the opposite of elevating your heels. Is it a way to mimic a deeper squat that you couldn’t otherwise achieve with a belt squat or is it to better“follow” the path of the weight that with a bar it’s never straight up and down?

This platform was originally made for doing t-rows, that’s why it is angled this way.
Belt squats are a secondary function.
