mads is (i assume, with a name like that) danish, but it sounds like he's lived in usa for a long time, so he's picked up a bit of an accent from there
Yeah, it's a heavily americanized Danish accent; he's probably been in the US for over 20 years now. Compare with e.g. Mark Seemann for an "original" Danish accent; I think it's a fun one.
