The video is a modern day Interpretation of The Mythical love story of Cupid and the Mortal woman he fell in love with & eventually married, Psyche. In the video the twist is the sexes are reversed, She is Cupid & he is Psyche. Cupids Mom (Aphrodite) in this case Dad, forbids it but Cupid doesn't care. After some time of wedded bliss Aphrodite comes down to earth and makes Psyche fall in love with another mortal. Leaving (her) Cupid Heartbroken, but ultimately realizing her Purpose is to spread love and returns to Being Cupid .

Newjeans 2 UK Garage tunes 'cool with you' and 'new jeans' are my favourites of theirs because i love that genre (along with the new jack swing of supernatural) Ok so the clue is in the 'painting' which tells the story of 'Cupid' and his forbidden love with a human 'Psyche'.. gender roles are reversed as Hoyeon is 'Cupid' who falls for the human who represents Psyche.... She gives up her divinity and becomes human in order to be with him (represented by her taking off her clothes in the rain) Newjeans represent the '9 muses' who follow cupid around with song and dance but do not interfere..... its likely they reported her actions to her father Tony Leung portraying 'Aphrodite' who punishes her by reverting her back to 'cupid' and erases the guys memory of her while making him also fall for someone else. The ending shows cupid going back to newjeans with a look of anger and contempt at them before resuming her role as 'cupid' again. She also looked nervous earlier when she saw them watching her just before she became human.. like she knew that because they were watching there would be repurcussions but she went ahead with it anyway.
I'm just gonna say this, even though the ending was really crazy, I found meaning in Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy. LOL YOUR REACTIONS ARE SO FUNNY AND YOU GUYS ARE SO CUTE
