Hi RJ, Energica owner here, I have noticed that your TC kept intervening on hard acceleration, I can't tell from the video on which level it is set up, but I would recommend (if road condition allow) to set it between 1 and 3, it will still save you if things go south, without limiting too much the power output on hard accelerations, ENJOY!
@@royaljordanian For future reference: there is a trigger on the back of the left control cluster (the one you press to access the riding modes menu) if you long press it, you will access the TC menu.
Hasn't once been a problem on my Zero in 60k miles which is many times quieter than this. I got pulled over on an Energica, and the first thing the cop said was "that thing's electric? I heard it making a funny noise back there so I figured it had to be"

I’m about to get a 2021 eva ribelle RS, schedule to get delivered mid March here in Scottsdale. I was seriously considering one of those as well, let me ask you about the weight, is it a bear? Rude height?
@@merlinrazzo5022 I think you made the right choice. I came from taller bikes like KLRs so I wanted a more upright riding position; naturally I gravitated towards the SS9. As I've become a more confident road rider, I got to test an EVA for a week and found I quite like the more aggressive seating. I don't think you can go wrong either way. Your bike will be about 40lbs lighter than mine, and yeah it's a bit porky at lower speeds. Not a big deal for me. But hey, it's also got reverse and park assist! Yaaay. Honestly these e-bikes are really impressive, especially this one and I am now tempted to buy one TBH. The only thing that worries me is being even more invisible in traffic, without the pipes - especially to pedestrians!
9:50 Normally you charge between 20%-80/85%. Above 85% the charging speed drops. Charging to the max is what I do overnight, at home, on AC. At 87% I wouldn't even think of charging. DC fast-charging is for when you're travelling further than the battery range. When I have to fast-charge, I only charge for how much further I have to go - otherwise I plug it in in AC at home or work or wherever. You've got to change the way you look at charging and the fast-charging stations, it's not like you're used to fuel-pumps.
I couldn't agree more on "change the way you look at charging". The only "problem" that people think about EV is the range. EVs just require careful planning and they'd turn out to be just fine, as performance isn't really an issue.✌️
@@rickrides8352 well you are really lucky, in India charging stations are hard to come across (thats is currently changing but would require time) and hybrid vehicles are expensive thanks to our taxation system. Till then Indians would continue enjoying the fossil fuel burners. 😊
@@Orange_390 I still need an app to find charging stations :-) But if you for example go to plugshare, filter on CCS/SAE only in the Netherlands, you see the amount of fast-charging stations. I have an electric reverse as standard on my GoldWing, and it's invaluable. Sometimes you can't paddle a 400kg bike backwards, uphill, in the rain. Bike looks great.
I see you ride that less aggressive around traffic and intersections because no one can hear you coming vs the Husqvarna :P but the ridiculous fast fly by never gets old (2:35). This thing is a beauty and is making me want to start riding!
Fast charging goes fastest when battery level is low. Typically you should start charge low and end around 85%... it depends a bit between each brand. But over 80-90% the charge speed is greatly reduced because battery is getting full...Greetings from an EV driver since 7 years back....

I missed your explanation about the riding experience. The charging is interesting, of course, but not specific for this bike. I’ll wait for the next video.
At 8:30 you comment on the Harley Livewire not charging at that particular station. There are no other charging alternatives and I would be dependent on those chargers to use the bike. The chargers work fine for all the cars that plug in, but not the Livewire. Big disappointment because I really liked everything about the bike. The look, the acceleration, performance, handling, balance, seating position, all fantastic. It just wouldn’t charge.
