In 1977 there was no gurudwara at Campbell Bay. Even then I experienced how dedicated were the ladies of the Punjabi families in their selfless service for a common cause. During Durga Puja ladies would come to the puja pandal very early in the morning and prepare items for bhog like khichdi, Puri, sabji, dal, kheer for distribution to hundreds of devotees at noon. I convey my heartiest regards to those ladies again through your vlog.
Where is this gurudwara located? Very beautiful Gurudwara. Many ex servicemen settlers or their families have subsequently left Great Nicobar Island. One of my friend Dalvinder , who was a school teacher left the place and settled at Port Blair. His sons migrated to Australia/ Canada. How many original settler families are still residing there?
