I remember how my dad would come home from work, after construction in 110f heat. He looked like he was coming home from battle. The other day I was coming home, beat down snd wore out. I seen my reflection and it reminded me of my dad, I was proud.

After my grandmother died and my grandfather sold the house he moved to a retirement community. He had a stroke and moved to a assisted living facility in the same complex but not long after they recommended that we should put him in a nursing home. I was named after the man and wasn't going to let him get shelved. I quit my job and we moved into my Mother's house. Two years I bathed him, shaved him, cooked and spent every night in the hospital with him. He deserved it and I will always be grateful for his love and the time we spent together.
