She is so grounded and doesn’t take her success for granted. Best of all, she was fantastic in Doctor Who and I will be forever grateful for her part in making the show the fantastic success it became.
I wonder if Parkinson regrets, or would regret, his approach in the interview. He's very patronising towards her, paternalistic. Which is understandable but he could have got so much more if only he'd noticed how incredibly together and assured she is.
it's so weird because her accent in doctor who is quite similar to how she is speaking here but in more recent interviews she's so posh!! does anyone know why?
SHE'S TWENTY-TWO?!??!! i'm 23 and i'm still not as mature, confident or graceful as she was 😭 imagine being married that young, the Noughties were a different timeee
Shame, like Billie, so many youths today want to be pop singers yet don't have the talent to do so or quite honestly should be in the industry;its more about celebrity really and less about the music but Billie was the opposite, made great music, fun pop songs, yet she was miserable in a position she didn't want to be. Music in 2005 was the beginning of the end of talent.......
I have watched Dr Who from when it first began in 63 right up til now. The writing back then was way better under Barry Letts, Terrance Dicks etc, but they sadly didn't have the budget. Now they have the budget, but unfortunately writers who couldn't interest Teletubbie viewers. Chris Ecclestone and Billie Piper, had everything, the chemistry, the jargon. They were the epitome of the entire series. no-one cared if there were daleks or those stupid angels. Just those two on screen together made the show. Then they left, the writers got worse and worse, and now look where we are in 2021. The BBC retarget pensioners to pay their ridiculous tax (during an epidemic no less) The Dr is turned into a woman for no apparent reason (they could have brought back Romana or the DR's daughter (SHE was HOT!) , an now the ratings are probably at an all time low (er they are). What are you playing at BBC? You want to extort the public, but destroy the very foundation of what every child since the early 60's has loved? Here is a good one: 'hey guys, let's come up with THE best villain yet.. a statue that can only move when you aren't looking at it..? Wow Chris, do you mean my wife?. er, no I was thinking about Angels.. LOL wtf are you high? No, I as thinking about something other than Daleks.. Ahh , yeah we used them a bit too much haven't we, and those Cider dudes.. You mean Cybermen, not the Wurzels. It is kind of sad that I actually see the writing room taking place like this for a multi million pound corporation mainly funded by extorting innocent people. I hope that sadly Dr Who and (not so sadly) the BBC both die, forever.
I remember 2005 I remember this episode it was the same year that I was going through a divorce from my apps husband I'm no longer married to him and it's been a long time but I do remember this episode I'm sorry but I found a knife doctor to be dry I'm boring Andrew. Have any charisma at all Zero Charisma the only thing that I can say that Maleficent and the 9th doctor would have in common is they put people to sleep wow women to be exact

I hate the way he keeps saying failed marriage. She handles it very well.
Yeah, I found this quite rude of him tbh.
Parkinson has always been a charmless, sexist creep.
Fascinating clip, especially as Jamie Oliver's outfit inspired David Tennant's costume.
Billie said in a resent interview how cringey this interview was, he was asking such disgusting questions, 'you must regret marrying him' wtf
I don't think it's THAT marriage she regrets..
This is nothing. She is far more candid and intimate in her book.
It’s so stupid that for an interview with Billie, the doctor who clip they used is a Christopher Eccleston monologue where she has only one line.
Fun fact: Jamie Oliver's style of a suit with converse is what inspired Tennant's costume
She’s so confident & natural!
This is SO Candid.
Trent Brock I am so shocked, never hear this much honesty now.
Billie Piper is a legend even that she is not that famous like Britney or Aguilera but she belongs on the top also 🥇
Because she didn’t want to be like them
It was Jamie Oliver's clothes on this program that inspired the look of the tenth Doctor.
Oi
God Billie Piper was spectacularly gorgeous back then.
still is 😌

i think cause of her character on diary of a call girl cause her character had quite a post accent
Her accent in this interview isn‘t the accent she has as Rose Tyler, it's the same one she has nowadays...
Billie is CUTE ANS ADORABLE 😇 I've heard nothing bah positive things about Billie Piper ❤️
The longer this goes, the more uncomfortable she looks. You can tell she doesn't want to talk about her marriage and focus on Doctor Who.
SHE'S TWENTY-TWO?!??!!

Saturday 19th March 2005
I love her ❤
I wonder why in 2005 they were still using vhs tapes
they were, it is just they were transitioning to DVD. I got my first DVD player in the early 2000s
VHS is da bomb baby 😆 VHS always the best
Because they were still readily available and a more common means of recording programmes than digital boxes in most households in 2005, kid.
I miss VHS 📼
I got my first DVD in 2005 especially to record all the Dr Who related TV material
EARTH LOOKS LIKE ITS STANDING STILL - BECAUSE IT IS.
Was jamie trying to replicate the Doctor with that outfit ?
it was earlier before 10, so Tenant may copy:)
Billie sure handled this terrible interviewer.
The interviewer is wretched.
You’re wretched, you foolish, ignorant person. Parkinson is a legend. He allows people to speak.
It’s a bit weird her not watching it as a kid or growing up because it was 1 of the most popular shows. It wasn’t like it wasn’t on.
Oooo billy Piper i always had a thing for her

didn't mind her Chris Evans though he was younger than the Dr
I like Doctor who the girl that plays Rose Taylor
Parky is so bloody intrusive in this interview! Over the line for sure...

Stop with the double kissing, this isn’t France or Italy😡
MissyB 75 lol, it’s all stopped now due to COVID 19
