I don't care if it's film locations, Disney or old towns, I love watching The Daily Woo!!! Sorry to hear about Calvin my heart goes out to him and his family.
My respects to the gentleman who passed away and to his family. It's a sobering reminder that we are not promised tomarrow. Each day is a gift, may I truly live my life with that attitude.
Wow, thanks for taking the time to update about that gentleman's passing. As a guy who lives in working corporate America, it feels like life is passing me by. Today now even more so. Thanks for adventuring out, vlogging all of your trails... and sharing them with us who don't get to go out and travel around. Keep on truckin! Large Marg'n!
Dazed and confused, a great movie. Visiting movie locations, awesome. Watching Adam the Woo's journey on exploring these great forgotten sites....Priceless. There are some things money can't buy. Thanks Adam!!
Adam I hope you keep meeting great people like the man you talked about in today's video; this man knew what he was good at and he did that one thing great.. BBQ. Sounds like he was a good story teller as well. Keep doing what you do Adam because you are truly great at it. Sending you love and hugs .
You are exactly right. Your life is always in a different place when you re-watch a movie, so it may not have the same meaning it once did or it may have a totally different meaning. This is why I re-watch movies occasionally because sometimes I see things that I would never have understood before.
I know exactly what you mean about movies from our childhood, that was some cool movie locations,Dazed and Confused is one of my favorite movies. That is sad news too,I hope that BBQ place stays in business and don't go abandoned again!
Love this video! Love all the details! Sorry to hear that the gentleman passed away. Glad that you came away with great memories of the man. Praying for his family.
Nice tribute to Mr. Calvin, done with the utmost respect. Jacob posted a touching tribute yesterday as well. It is funny how certain places, movies, or songs make you miss a certain past time in your life and get you all emotional. Awesome vlog as always, continue on that circle of goodness, keep creating happiness wherever you are, do what makes you happy, as we continue to learn daily, life is indeed way too short.
Adam my day wouldn't be the same with out your blogs I have been watching for over 3 years now and been all over America with you from Justin to the bagger to the Tim tracker you bring something new everyday and I would just like everyone who have subscribed to your channel say thank you.👍🏻👍🏻 here's till tomorrow.
You finally made it to my neck of the woods. My favorite punk movie is Repo Man. I really appreciate it that you took the time to remind folks that it is important to connect with people wherever you go.
These vlogs never get old, I enjoy the heck out of each one. Sorry to hear about the passing of Calvin. I can tell it hit you hard, I could see it in your eyes. Safe travels Adam.
Adam im so sorry for the loss of your friend CALVIN BILBO .MAY HE REST IN PEACE i love that fact that you have such a wonderful heart your a good caring person.thank you for the vlogs keep up the great work
Good one, brother. Your daily Woo's are like an icepack for my brain. Of course I stop before the impending "ice cream headache" but I practice moderation. Thanks again, J.P.
Wow, almost brought me to tears............. RIP Calvin.............. my heaven enjoy your BBQ Brisket for eternity. Incredible that you were one of the last people along with Jacob to share his life stories with.............. very sad he has passed but I am happy you got to meet him last week and be able to share with us some of his life through that location. Happy travels Adam.
You're such a sweet kind person to remember him, I'm sure his family would appreciate it. Thanks Adam another fun vlog!! Got my WOO FIX for the day!!!!! Stay safe my friend.😀
its funny you say how the people im the movie reminds you of how you and your friends were. back in high school me and my friends were like we were from the movie "clerks". have a great day Adam! thank you for the great video
adamthewoo big time! especially growing up down the road from the quick stop in jersey. by the way my thoughts and prayers to the man who passed. very sad to hear. may he rest in peace
I also watched this version of Suburbia a ton of times growing up. I felt very similar to how you said that the characters reflected your own life and friends as well. Thank you for covering these locations!
What a very nice tribute at the end of your vlog. You sir are a class act! Most would not even mention his passing you as well as Jacob the carpetbagger are some very classy guys. Thank you!!
Adam I know its a ways away, but if you make it down to Corpus Christi, there's a mall (Sunrise Mall) that was used in the filming of the 80's movie "the Legend of Billie Jean" and it's practically exactly the same as it looked when the movie was filmed. It's creepy and dead, but I thought it might be a good place to to shoot some of filming locations from the movie
Nice tribute to Calvin Bilbo you have put a incredible touch on this video, It can be a unbelievable journey we are on, you are a good guy Adam The Woo! Thanks.
Adam, you are correct that certain films viewed in our youth continue to resonate as we get older. I'm a geezer now but the hippie movement of the sixties and seventies lives on in a little corner of my mind. "Easy Rider" says it all for me. Plus "Blazing Saddles", of course!
Amazing that you were able to come across that man in his last few days and share it with the rest of the world. Makes me really think about fate and how it plays a part in our lives.
I had to stop the video I was watching and finally look it up on my phone so I could comment to you. I found your videos somehow yesterday by some shift in the space time continuum. after I have already watched about 50 videos since then and now, I must write to you. I LOVE your videos. all of them. and i watched suburbia on vhs when I was probably a freshman in high school. no one else I had ever met had watched that movie. you just found the top notch. my lifetime goals are being completed by your travels . Thank you.
You made me tear up Adam. Im very sure you and Jacob done something for all of us TCM fans that are your fans too. I know GOD put you where you were at that time for a reason. R.I.P. Calvin Bilbo....Texas Legend and BBQ pioneer! May God Bless you All!
My heart goes out to Calvin family and friends and all the visitors that enjoyed that great food .You ADAM have the class that every parent would be proud of GOD BLESS MR. CALVIN
ATW hated to hear of the horrible loss, that sucks man. Great vlog thought. Thanks for the history and entertainment. Keep it up love it man I watch daily here in N.C. Be Safe
Wow; what a shock to hear about Mr. Bilbo. Indeed, it all can just end at any moment... which is all the more reason to treasure and not waste the moments we have. Look at it this way - you and Jacob got to consume this gentleman's "art"; something he was apparently and justifiably proud of, according to the Gas Station FB page. Of course I have no idea if he watched any of the videos of Jacob and your "BBQ Tour", but I'm sure he'd have been tickled that you guys kept going back to compare to his cooking. Prayers to his family and friends out there.
Hey Adam, my son and I never miss your vlogs. Great job and our condolences to Calvin and his family. Hope you liked the Nick13 CD. Take care and looking forward to the next adventure!
Adam This might be the best Video you ever made, You gave some Very good advice to young people and older ones as well about not letting other peoples negative thoughts or words invade your mind, As Dr. Pretorious said to the Frankenstein Monster You are wise in your Generation.
Touching story at the end. Glad you and Jacob the carpetbagger had a chance to meet Calvin. Boy life does get short and something like that really has to put life into perspective..
RIP Calvin, visited The Gas Station a few times and it's a great stop when in the area. Adam, if you are heading north, stop by Waxahachie, there's a mansion that is straight from t.v. you could say it's...munstrous
Wow, so sad to hear about the gentleman who passed away. I feel it was God's will that you & Jason were at that restaurant (old gas station) when you were so you could experience and share with all of us his food, stories and cabins/property! So many of us were interested and intrigued about that location due to you & Jason, that we then took it upon ourselves to learn more about that site. God Bless you, Adam! Thank you for sharing everything that you do!
Those rest stops are kind of amazing. Was just there in December. As the story goes, several years ago, a terrible tornado hit along I-35 and there was no shelter for travelers. Since that tornado destroyed much of that area and the surrounding community, Texas added storm shelters to several of the rest stops along the way.
Well said Adam--you are very wise. I miss the early 80's to mid-90's-- find my mind wandering back to those times. Good memories being made Now--you can get crazy and have fun in your 50's (me) and beyond !!! You will see and I hope to be watching you god willing ! safe travels...Deanna
Films like Suburbia and Clerks prove that amazing films can be made with nothing more than a convenience store and some humorous dialog. Thanks for taking me back to one of my old favorites.
Thank you once again Adam for a great video. It's amazing how even for a brief moment how someone can have a tremendously positive impact on someone's life. I must say, your videos have truly made a tremendous impact on my life and all the lives who watch them...
ATW - Across the street from the movie location you were at is a Walgreens store. I am sure most of the customers going into the Walgreens store have no knowledge about the movie you were describing. I never saw the movie but your description of it was fascinating.
This location really made me miss the mid 90s

its funny you say how the people im the movie reminds you of how you and your friends were. back in high school me and my friends were like we were from the movie "clerks". have a great day Adam! thank you for the great video

I ask myself a question regularly, and not often enough:
If today is the last day of my life, is this how I want it to be remembered?
very nice words at the end Adam. Once again proving what a kind soul you are! RIP Calvin...

Films like Suburbia and Clerks prove that amazing films can be made with nothing more than a convenience store and some humorous dialog. Thanks for taking me back to one of my old favorites.
