Good job, my friends and I went last night around 9.30 pm but tide was too low so no herrings, but we found 6 nets that were stuck 🙂. Also, I think I saw you in the SF pier 50 herring run last month, your net was stuck and I lent you my extended painter pole ( I think that was you 😀). New subscriber, cool videos.
I was there from 8pm to 9pm and there were nothing left. I managed to catch 2 fish (my first ever). Learned how to throw the net while doing it. I almost got my net stuck but I did damage it while pulling it out. Now I need to learn how to do double uni-knot to fix it.
@@skinnypenguin5857 Indeed. I have to learn different ways to connect two lines. It turns out double uni was not practical for this and I used another method. Now my net is back and ready for more action. Maybe the anchovies in SC would be good or there is always next year lol.
@@skinnypenguin5857 Yes I bought another 1/4" net (1.3lb/ft) after I saw your video and thanks for the tip. The net that I damaged is actually that net. I like to throw it cuz it's 4' (8' diameter) and easy to throw compare to the 7' (14' diameter) that I tried. Anyways, best luck to me for using the net in the near future.
Did you try the jetty inside the park?

haha learning to fix a net is one big step towards a true herring hunter

@@ycchang8351 for chovies u want a 1/4'' mesh net, if u got a 3/8'' it's probably not work cuz chovies can get through
