      Well said. For billy and anyone else to read;
      Steel, specifically the type of chromoly used in rods, hits a point where it no longer fatigues or rather loses strength due to cyclical fatigue. So they’re either flat out over powering those rods, or the pin did get yanked out of the piston.
      My bet is they just overpowered those rods. Could keep running the cheapies just need refresh much sooner.

      @@LucoreAuto hey Austin, quick question for ya on the AMC 360 engines you and rich have either built over the years, worked on, or seen running around, but have there been any yet that you’ve built or seen running turbos, single or double, or nitrous, and if so, how did they perform to your knowledge and what’s your overall opinion of doing something like that too that engine?
      I’m curious that with the much stronger nickel alloy blocks that the AMCs were supposedly cut from if they would handle standing up to the boost any better than some of these other blocks we see. Will the difference in the actual block strength really gonna matter anyways depending upon what rotating assembly your running. Is the supposed extra strength of the block gonna help prevent a rod delete if there’s an internal failure or is it simply providing more wear protection against high heat, high friction stemming from pulling heavy loads or four wheeling type use?
      I’m currently building another 360 and was curious about adding turbos. I’ve not seen it done yet but I’m sure it has been and am curious if the AMC engine will benefit from boost. This is gonna be for strictly street use. Fun driving, grocery getter street use, not billy and Stranger Things @ 2am type of street use, lol.
      Thanks Austin, I appreciate any input you have brother. There’s just not many guys putting many performance mods on these engines that I can get any data from.
      Take care man, be safe out there
