Counter proposal: Rather than tunneling under Bel Air, why not build it elevated through Bel Air. It’s cheaper to build and Bel Air won’t have to worry about any tunneling happening, so it’s a win win!
This is a genius proposal!
Yes absolutely
YES! And make it run in loops and have rumble strips. And emit screams whenever it accelerates and decelerates!
Because of NIMBYs
Wait, Beverly Hills actually told people their high school would explode? LOL
-A non Bel Air resident
You’re under arrest
I swear to god if we get monorail, I'll start digging that damn tunnel below Bel-Air myself. Whether a train goes through said tunnel or not is another story...
I am not a resident of Bel Air, so I obviously haven't watched this video.
Oh no, the proletariat are freely commenting on the video. I'm triggered!
Bel Air is literally the Eagleton of Los Angeles!
This is why high speed mag lev was an option that was being studied for the west santa ana branch light rail about 10 years ago. I pulled a facilitator aside and asked why the hell such a cockamamie option was even being considered. They looked around before telling me that this is a common political ploy to delay and drag out the process, proposing something that has zero chance of being built. Sadly, it works. Great video. Like, really great video!
Maybe if we gave Bel-Air the option of an underground line with a station IN Bel-Air on Roscomare to give all of LA access to Stone Canyon Reservoir or an underground line without. Those are the only options.
Haven't these people played the Simpsons' Hit & Run? Don't they know what happens when a spikey-haired ten-year old gets his hands on an incomplete monorail line?
This route is begging for a automated light Metro, Singapore style line...and we are gonna get Monorail 😭
I propose that we build a gondola through Bel Air so that we avoid tunnelling and construction on 405.
- Sincerely, a resident of Bel Air
Me being a UCLA student - close enough to bel air
Can you do some san diego content
Please, make more videos!
Have they made a decision yet?
Pov: you don't live in bel air
