I’ve done a lot of long distance hiking in my life and it’s surprising how unsettling it can be to see other humans that far from civilization. Most of the time when I met people it would seem normal but sometimes you come across a person(s) while out there that just give ominous vibes and make you want to hike through the night. I’ve never had any negative experiences but I credit that to listening to my gut.

Check in times and locations, emergency flares, often times carrying a fire arm for protection (intended for dangerous wild life), ect. I’m not ignorant to the dangers of being in the wilderness alone but with planning and the experience I’ve gained over the years I have for the most part minimized the risk aside from running into a random crazy 30 miles from nowhere.

@@DAC936 that’s interesting, I’ve done a lot of long distance backpacking in the backcountry and I’ve had tons of animal encounters and weather emergencies but I’ve never had to deal with running into a sketchy person. Listening to the gut is always key, especially with people. There are a lot of subconscious cues/micro expressions we pick up on even if we can't consciously identify exactly what it is but there is a reason often that if you played a video back you could identify. I have lived in a few countries and spent time moving about alone in 15+ where I don't speak the language fluently enough to be completely safe and that gut instinct when I have / haven't listened to it has been accurate.

My mother was driving in Yellowstone and saw a man just off the sidewalk looking out into the woods. She glanced at him briefly, recognized a person was there, and looked back at the road. She said about 3 seconds later she looked up again and the man vanished. Her friend which is Native American said that it was some kind of spirit of warning or guidance. Something like that.
My mom has always told the truth so it is very hard to imagine she would be lying about something so weird.

Nobody ALWAYS tells the truth! In fact, some time ago, scientists ran a study in which they determined the average person tells 6 lies for every 15m of conversation, and they're completely unnecessary, just lies we tell for the FUCK of it. @@BlueRidgeBubble People aren't afraid of science, though. Science has nothing to do with doubting the paranormal. To say it does is a bit misleading. Science doesn't prove the existence of anything, science is just a study of what is. It involves digging into real world data and attempting to better understand our surroundings. Science can't prove the non-existence of anything.
Example: Which is more scientific, to observe what looks like a werewolf and think to yourself, " it couldn't possibly be one because we don't believe in those in our modern society", or is it to acknowledge to oneself that such a thing could exist and to try to find evidence to see if other people have seen one? True science doesn't start from the idea that something "can't exist". That would defeat the scientific method.

I work a job where I go into people houses a lot to fix issues. I went to this big house out in an affluent neighborhood on the outskirts of my city. An old man lived there who had two workers there full time to help take care of him and the house. The guy was a park ranger all over California from the 70s to 2000s, this was shortly after I heard a story of flights of stairs in parks way out in the middle of nowhere. I asked him if he’s ever seen anything strange being all the way out in the National Parks. He was a very old fellow but his whole demeanor changed as he sat there then said in a very serious tone, “bipedal wolf tracks, lots of them.” I don’t know if it’s the dementia or what but I’ll never forget the moment I was looking for some cool stories and it went from that to I’m never going to a national park.

Something stunk aswell like a powerful musty smell. It was the last night we were there that was the scariest we went to bed early and it started to rain afterwards I woke up it was my dad on the radio saying lock your doors and I asked what was wrong all he said was something was watching us from the trees. When we got up there was some sort of dead animal outside and that same smell it was the footprints though. They had come right up to the side of all the vehicles!! We were glad to leave there. The bear was killed and they found human parts in the Bears stomach. The dead animal was probably a kill the bear had covered or dragged. If there was such things in the park, I am sure the local news paper would cover it. Not only that so would the locals that live in the park. If. I was born and raised 56 miles from the park. I had family and friends that worked in the park. I am sure I would of heard stories of strange creatures. People need to pay heed to food storage when you are in yellow stone. Also your garbage. Wolf headed men coud perhaps mean different things and least probable is man-wolf hibrid civilisation with many tribes. In early republic roman skirmishers (velites) wore wolf pelts, as a uniform. I woud say perhaps some tribes did similar, wore masks or just had wolf as an emblem. Sometimes ancient customs of forgoten tribes tend to stick in local legends and beliefs. There are traces of ancient pre slavic beliefs in east alpian region that died out sometime after ww1. I have not done this since 2020 but I am very familiar with the Firehole area and can tell you its very rare to see wolves there nowadays. But i will say, camping there during the day and night is something else. Your eyes will always play tricks on you and your imagination will always take over and make you think all sorts of things. But trust me, at night, most animals will run away rather than approach you. I never witnessed anything supernatural or worth sharing like this video. She describes them being in the thick Woods and having to climb up a steep hill from a creek and that it was going to be getting dark soon but they had been followed by this creature and it stood up on its hind legs and kicked out it's right leg ... it was twisting and it made a cracking or a popping sound and then it did it with the other leg and was twisting and able to stand up higher and she said you could hear the bones making these popping noises and that the dog was able to stand on two legs and was really tall .
She talked about it's evil grin and I can't remember what episode it was but it's there .
I bet if you were to contact the creator of the channel Vic Cunliffe , he would be able to tell you what episode it is .
There are supposedly at least six different types of dog men and one of them looks very similar to the classic movie werewolf with the very narrow waist and the big chest and muscular arms .
That one is known to be particularly evil and super smart ... and people say they can swim very quickly and very far .
They say that some of them actually have dog heads .

There was a restaurant that I believe was is alpena, and there was a legend that if you saw a women in a dress at the top of the stairs, it was actually a women who died in a fire in that same building, and as a small child I saw that same women at the top of the stairs in the building. Back in the late 80's, my younger brother and I did a three day hike in May in Yosemite. Late spring snows had delayed the opening of Highway 120 over Tioga Pass. We hiked the trail to Tenaya Lake and for two days, never saw another soul, and it wasn't until the third day, as we began to near Half Dome before we encountered anyone else. At the time, we didn't have a tent and simply threw our sleeping bags near the trail wherever night found us. Now, I read about all of these strange encounters with odd creatures with associated disappearances and it kinda gives me the creeps. I wouldn't repeat any of these hikes today, even if I were capable.

My brother is 48 years old and has his MBA, his friend who experienced this with him is now an MD.
Around 1990 or so they were driving from Richmond, VA to Lynchburg, VA on rt.360 heading toward Appomattox around 10-11pm.
They were driving on the highway through a cut in the many hills on 360. What they described as a 400-500lb massive dog jumped down off the hill onto the road, swung its head up and looked into the approaching headlights of their car. They slowed way down.
The giant dog then leaped 20ft off the road and up the hill on the opposite side.
    They freaked out.
It just didn't compute. They were screaming at each other what the F did we just see, what was that, etc..
My brother wanted to turn around but his friend totally refused.
These days they are just so happy they can talk about it and that they both saw it, because they know it's so unbelievable.

Since this is a mishmash of everything from Werewolves, Sasquatches, Aliens & Ghosts I'll add my encounter. In 92 while visiting a friend in LA. We went for Chinese food. The place looked pretty old with alot of dark ornate wood carvings & the entry door was wider & taller than most. It was like entering an old Musium. I barely got thru the door when a nice old Asian lady appears, welcomes me with a hug & says it's great to see you again, where have you been? My friend says: I come here all the time & I don't get welcomes like this. She leads me to what she proudly says was my favorite table & we sit & she says I have something special for you an goes to the kitchen. I'd never been there before, but felt like I did. She obviously felt like she knew me & although I swore I didn't know her, she still felt familiar to me. She came back with a feast, soup to nuts & then some, & she spoke to the servers in her language like I was an old cherished friend. They all bowed, so I did the same & they smiled. She said enjoy & said we'll catch up later. She was on the ball always showing up when need & eventually sat with us & asked if I was OK ? By this time I felt awkward insisting that I didn't know her, so I went along with it, but I felt she sensed it. When we left she hugged me again & kissed my cheek, then walked us out & waved as we walked away. Over the years my friend & I talked alot about it wondering who she thought I was. She did refer to me by another name I've forgotten since, or maybe didn't hear right. Since then I've had more than a few encounters similar that I couldn't explain & entertained the notion of reincarnation. I don't know, but the older I get the more I think there's something to it.

I have stories from the missile field that I could literally make a channel about, I’ve thought about submitting them to someone but due to the secret nature of working in a missile field it’s hard to tell what is appropriate to share publicly, some stories depend on context that probably can’t be shared. The main point is I worked nights often. I charged my weapon on a few occasions, from animal scares such as a nearby wolf pack or coming across fresh cougar tracks and droppings, escalating to apparitions and ghostly happenings including a haunted MAF, ufos/lights in the sky, cctv tracking seemingly nothing OFF site, very strange sounds out of an otherwise quiet forest, an abandoned running park ranger truck deep into the mountains and woods with a missing ranger that we had to shut off lock up for guys to pick up the next day… plus working as a night manager/audit at a hotel afterwards with 3 ghostly happenings. Those are just mine, there’s many more from people I worked with. There’s weirdo shit out there and I find it hard to be skeptical these days. Just keep your head on a swivel, not every story is just a fictional creepypasta.

    • @nicklibby3784
      @nicklibby3784 Год назад +4

No, it's because the animals flee when they hear or most likely smell the predator coming. I've hunted since I was kid, out in the real wild, not city land or rich people high fence land with gigantic deer. Wild land. The #1 sign a deer is coming is when the birds stop singing, fly aways all of the sudden, and it gets silent, eventually though you will hear some leaves crunch or a twig snap but nothing else. Then you know a deer is around. But even then it's hard to see a deer in wild land, at 100 yards away simply breathing too loud from the adrenaline or clicking my safety on the gun can easily spook the deer and they will bolt off out of sight before I can get my gun aimed. Also animals have a super sense of smell. If you don't sit completely silent and cover your smell with clothes, or deer or racoons urine around you or with brush around you, the deer WILL smell you as they are VERY elusive. They only travel upwind, and on days where there is little to no wind at all? The deer simply just will NOT travel.
I'm jealous of the hunter near city land where they can just stomp through the woods and still see plenty of deer.
The fact wild whitetail deer can be this elusive makes me believe there can EASILY be other things out there.....even more so considering BRAND NEW SPECIES of frogs, insects and mammals are found every year in just the Brazilian jungle ALONE....imagine what lurks in the huge desolate deserts and mountains of north America..or Alaska even? Alaska is called the last frontier for a reason, it is largely unexplored, and most likely will NEVER be fully explored.
I can't believe people are so quick to brush off a unknown animal existing when new animals are found in the Brazilian jungle every year and other places, and also they don't realize how elusive and alert animals can be.
It is not surprising to me as a hunter that people can't get pictures of a creature when it is only seen maybe 100 times per year. If I can't flick my gun off safety without scaring a deer away from 100 yards, how do we expect people marching through the woods to whip their phone out their pocket to take a picture without scaring the animal away? That's a ton of movement, and sound. Yes, animals can hear the crinkle of your clothes grabbing your phone from across a football field quite easily.
Animals that don't want to be seen, simply won't be seen.

When I lived in trailer park some miles out of town, I had a simple experience. 1 night, most of the night you could hear all kinds of sounds, crickets, normal wildlife sounds until about 2:30 in the morning, all of a sudden everything was dead silent. Nothing. Then, an inner communication
came to me. It said, "I will not hurt you."
Guess who wasn't going outside to find out!?!?

Osceola National Forest is my backyard. I can't even begin to count the encounters with wildlife and very strange, unexplainable occurrences that my family and neighbors have experienced here. This place gets scary dark at night and always feels incredibly uncomfortable -like being watched and stalked. I've never felt like this at night anywhere else. It had gotten so bad at one point with the strange sounds and occurrences that we installed several cameras and trail cams throughout our property and home. We've gotten a few good recordings of some pretty spooky shit we just can't explain (despite me desperately trying to in order to ease myself and our family and neighbors). Needless to say, we don't go outside at night if we can help it, and never go out alone if we have to. Never. No one in the neighborhood does. You know it's pretty rough when an entire diverse little neighborhood shuts down and locks up at sunset. Looks like a ghost town at night.
Anyhoo, neat stories! It's comforting to know that those of us with experiences aren't enduring it alone. Thank you for sharing! 🖤

@@gardensofthegods I honestly didn't even think anyone would read my comment. Lol.
Well, we moved in about 2 years ago and at first it seemed fine, but it felt off at night. Seemed weird that no one went outside at night and that it was so dead in the neighborhood by nightfall.
I didn't think much of the strangeness until I started hearing a knocking on my bedroom window at night. I thought it was some creeper in our yard and was getting pretty scared, even slept with a rifle by the bed. It would only happen when my husband was at work (worked the night shift). I thought I was going crazy because there was never anyone out there when the knocking happened. So we put up one trail cam to catch the creeper. There was no one there. The knocking continued, but the video didn't capture anything. I didn't want to believe it was paranormal, but there was no other explanation. So fast forward, it's a cool autumn night, my bedroom window is open and I'm playing Dead by Daylight with a friend and we hear the knocking and smell what I can only describe as body odor and stale beer and urine from the open window. I dart up to see out the window and there's a shadow that dashes back from sight. I flip out and run outside to get the memory card from the trail cam and sure enough it caught what looked like a small see through black shadow floating 3 feet off the ground darting past the bedroom window from the outside. My husband decided to put up more cameras and while doing so, the neighbors came by to chat and ask why we were putting up so many cameras. We hesitantly told them and as soon as we did, our neighbors began sharing story after story of what they've experienced (shadows, a weird looking dog standing in their driveway growling, odd smells and a screaming at night that sounded like a man shrieking, feelings of being watched or hunted/stalked, gunshots) weird, scary shit. Our neighbors are very friendly with the whole neighborhood and often have almost everyone over for afternoon BBQs and little get togethers, they know everyone in our neighborhood. So one day at their BBQ, the convo comes up about the weird ongoings at night, and one by one, person to person everyone shared their experiences and almost every person admitted that due to this scary activity, no one feels safe outside at night. I got goosebumps. Every single person said this is why we don't mess around outside at night. They don't even light off fireworks on the 4th of July or the new year. NO ONE. Needless to say, that bothers us, but what can ya do? Lol so we just kept recording hoping to catch something.
So far we've caught a pair of large glowing eyes and a weird shape in the tree top across the way into the woods that seemed to vanish. Another night we caught what looked like a white, almost translucent figure of a soldier with a hat and rifle (that's the best description I can give) pacing up and down in the treeline. Another instance we got a video of what sounded like a man screaming "Fire, fire, fire!" followed by a series of gunshots. Another video caught a coyote(?) standing on top of our truck, just standing there on the hood of our truck!!! We've caught deer, dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, armadillos, opossums and other critters on camera, but the weirdest is that weird coyote/wolf/dog thing. We've only caught it a couple of times but it always behaves so strangely like there's something wrong with it. What dog climbs onto a truck or car? What animal just stands there staring and growling AT the house and camera? I'd say it has rabies, but it's been well over a year and it would've died by now, right?! And the weird shadows and disembodied voices and white translucent shapes and figures, the screams and the sounds, the woods going deathly silent out of nowhere, the feelings of being watched and stalked, random gunfire, streetlights going out or flickering, sounds like a damn cannon going off... There's something wrong here. I've looked it up and can't find much about the area - things that don't seem to have to do with our neck of these woods. I wish I knew and I wish we could leave, but we can't afford to. We hate it here.

@@coastalartistlivingonislan8395 Thank you so much for your advice!! 🖤 You're definitely on to something with the battles in the area. My mother mentioned yesterday that not too far from us was where the battle of Olustee took place during the Civil War! Where soldiers are still buried to this day! I had no clue. Lol Apparently they even have a yearly festival to reenact and celebrate it (not my cup of tea), but that's what she told me! I've been thinking I should go to the historical society here and inquire about the route the soldiers took and the areas they inhabited along the way because I have a hunch our neighborhood is smack in the middle of that path. Gives me goosebumps to think about. All the disembodied screams and shouting and gunfire and what sounds like cannons going off (that shake the houses here) the shadows and figures in the treeline. It all makes so much sense now. Still creeps us out, but I can't wait to talk to my neighbors about it - they're locals so they should know about it and then I can see what they think about this info. I've got such goosebumps right now! 😅
I adore St. Augustine for it's history! It's one of my top 3 places, next to Savannah and Charleston! The history always inrigues and interests me so much, I just love it!
The coyote/dog hasn't been around for about a week now, but we saw a mauled critter in the treeline yesterday on the way to my mom's in the morning, so he must be around still. He's a scary guy. I'm afraid of it and whatever it may be seeing if it is picking up on things we can't. I've been thinking about him a lot too. Don't coyotes travel in packs? I've never seen more than one in the videos, which makes me wonder. I don't think we have wolves around here, but I wouldn't really know without looking into it. We do have a cheeky bobcat that fusses and fights with the neighborhood cats at night and gets into the trash. Lol He seems pretty harmless (not that I'm trying to interact with him ever. Lol) I'm determined to figure out what's going on around here - in the daylight hours, of course 😅🖤

Which....... well would make it a wolf that could fit a person's head in its mouth and weigh 100-150 lbs. Ive been 4 feet away from a huge gray wolf. She just sat down and looked at us for a few. My buddy was wanting to run i told him "stay sitting down and don't do anything stupid. If there's one we see. There up to 5 or more surrounding us." He looked confused so I said "you remember in jurassic park?" He says "yea awesome movie " ... "well then you remember whe. The raptor was standing there and he says 'clever girl' and as the one stands there 4 others ambush the guy" my friend looks pale now and says shakily "y...ya... yeah" so I say "well its like that. You be dumb we are done before we could even try to run" eventually the wolf left. And watching her walk away 6-8 others joined her about 40 feet down the road from where we were sitting at. I had a weird experience as a kid. Before I start my family are hunters we hunt off of the massive patch of thick forest that my grandfathers father bought years and years ago. We know every branch, puddle, and dirt clump on that land. Keep that in mind. I feel like an idiot for telling this story but it 1000% happened... I was probably 8 or 9 years old and I was staying with my grandfather. It was summer time so I had no school and we had a above ground pool right as you walk out of the back door with a deck built all around it with a picnic table. We was sitting there talking while he smoked his cigarette before it was time for bed. This happened in Northeast Alabama. Where he lived was about 25 miles away from anything and that was this family owned gas station that only had can drinks, Marlboro reds and a rack with some little Debbie cakes on it (no this wasn't in the 50s or anything this was like 2002 lol we were just so far away from anything that we were just stuck in time it seemed like) So it's fair to say we were in the middle of nowhere. He had a huge garden that was had tall corn stalks on one half and the other end was chicken wire with the tomato vines growing through it. About 40-45 yards from that was this lone bush. By itself within that 40-45 yards. I was standing on top of the picnic table being crazy trying to make my grandfather laugh (he was and still is my very best friend) that's when he said, "Michael what is that?" Me thinking he was just trying to get a scare out of me jokingly mocked him with a goofy ass voice... As soon as I looked where his finger was pointing my jaw dropped. He was pointing at that tall bush by itself. Mind you there was no lights turned on the back porch that night. The only light was like a street light but that was at the end of this quarter of a mile driveway leading to the house. I can't put into words of what it really looked like because it was the darkest night just a small amount of moonlight. Setting was peaking around the side of the push with two glowing eyes, and I get it some people might think that's ironic but they were huge eyes I could see a elongated face like a coyote which we did have in the area but haven't seen one for well over a month. You could see the eyes glowing like a lime green color and you count see whatever it was blink. I've never felt my hair stand on end like that ever again but on the life of my children something was there. We went in the house.my 58 year old grandfather at the time sat with me in that living room with a shotgun close to him leaned in the corner and we did not sleep a wink that night. My grandfather was and still is like this John Wayne kind of man. You can just tell by the way he talks that he has grit to him. You would think he was a stone cold emotionless guy but he is a teddy bear, but I've seen him go into protective mode before and I've never seen him worried like that ever before that night and I haven't seen him like that since. Sorry I can't be super descriptive all I saw were lime green glowing eyes about 6 and a half door off the ground peaking around the edge of a bush, and it scared the shit out of me and my grandfather.

They're just as protective of their offspring as your pop-pop is of you and unless they start coming really close to the house and start messing with stuff I wouldn't worry too much about it. On the other hand, you stepping into their backyard puts you in a vulnerable position unless you're squad deep and heavily armed.

When I was 13 I sat alone for the first time deer hunting in the West Michigan area. After about 30 mins into sitting at my hunting blind, (it was barely even light out yet) something went charging through the thick brush about 60 yards in front of me. i couldn't see whatever it was, it's still pretty dark and the bush was thick. Whatever it was sounded very big, knocking over small trees and moving fast. it covered a rough distance of 200 yards in a matter of 15 seconds or less.. It scared me at the time i was just 13.. and it was my first time sitting alone. So i got up and went over to my step fathers hunting blind where he was about 200-300 yards from me in the opposite direction from what i heard.
He said he didn't hear anything, & thought i was just imagining things being a scared kid. I sat with him until around noon, we only seen a few white tail does. then we started heading back up to the house. a good 400-500 yards away.
When we reached the back pasture were the cows and horses roamed too feed, There was a trail of small trees & brush knocked over and a clear path through the bush from whatever i heard that morning. We reached the back fence/gate (which was electric, 8ft tall and had big sturdy posts) something had plowed right through it.. ripping 3 posts out of the ground and snapping 1 in half as well as snapping the electric fence cables, which also had barbed wire wrapped around them.. At that point my step dads eyes got real big and he looked at me and said "well i guess you weren't imagining things, what could've done this!!?" I could tell he was frightened by the sight and he was a fairly big tough country guy who had been hunting his whole life and never came across something like that before. Being a logical guy, he then assumed it had too be a deer or some other larger game animal that tried jumping the fence and got caught up in it. however..
We looked for signs/tracks.. No sign of blood, tracks or hair anywhere.. If it was a deer or some large game animal, there would've been tracks or even blood and hair from the barbed wire.. but there was nothing! We checked the cows and horses and all of them were perfectly fine and in the inner barn, fenced in area up closer to the house.
Never found out anything else. Im 27 now & Still wonder too this day what could've done that without leaving a trace of anything, no blood, hair, tracks... nothing.
The only slightly logical explanation is something with no audible engine noise (like a UFO), fell from the sky and left a trail of destruction and just vanished.. However the ground along the path of destruction was unscathed aside from trees and brush & the fence being knocked over, and there was no debris from any sort of aircraft or vehicle.. So what could've done that!? Still mind boggling to this day.
I'll never forget the sound of whatever that was, just plowing through trees, brush & the fence just snapping them like twigs.. within a matter of seconds. Truly frightening.

Even though its illegal to carry in state parks, I always bring a small concealable gun to protect me and my loved ones on hiking excursions, never know when you'll hit the lottery and run into a serial killer stalking the trails. Finally somewhere I can tell my story. We were on our way back to our cabin around 10pm and passing through the valley. My dad decided to stop because we never seen the actual night sky before (with all the stars). We stayed for about five or ten minutes and we saw a triangle formation over the mountains of three ufo looking objects. I'm not going to sugar coat it. Then we saw two planes that I can only describe as a dog fight but without shooting. It seemed like the planes where chasing the formation. Next thing we knew this ranger shows up out of nowhere. If anyone knows the valley then you know it's impossible for a car to sneak up on you. (the valley is basically a straight road thru Yellowstone valley that's like 15 miles+ long. You can see cars coming very visibly. There's no turns or extra roads.) He must have been driving and using night vision or someone told him our location. It would have been impossible to find us. We had a our lights off. It was just my family looking at the sky. He asked us what we were doing and we told him. He said we needed to go because we couldn't be there. Granted it was past the park time but there was no other way to get to our cabin so we did it nightly. This was the only time we had issues and the timing just seems very suspicious. We weren't 100% sure what we saw other than airplanes but the fact that a "cop" shows up as we see this happening just makes it all but confirmed.

There was a family that lived in Palmyra, I think that is the name of the town. They had 5, 8 to 10 ft wolves the stood up surround the cottage for the entire night. Described very muscular upper body and very thin lower body, the father is a very experienced hunter, and he said it was massive and frightening and positively no bear. Another older couple towing a trailer thought they hit something, they stopped, and the driver open the glove compartment grabbed his .357 Magnum. He walked around and just felt uneasy, then he said he saw a wolf, and then it stood up as it did it made a crunching noise, it advanced toward him towering over him, and he shot it. It did nothing but just piss it off. He jumped in his truck and drove off fast.

Just live for the changes and make changes in your life. Go somewhere besides a horror world for a new beginning, had a friend that twas a sharecroppers daughter tell me about her father, he was if the crop fails this year, I'll just move on elsewhere for a new beginning . I'm 80 and always lived by that. Another good Christian elderly woman told me, never pray to God for material things, God knows your needs and just give thanks for blessings you have received. Believe and He will bless you. I've lived thru many troubles and had heart trouble and lung cancer. Been blessed to still be here to see how my grandchildren turned out and God is still blessing me, but I don't want to live forever. You get older and sicker, I've got emphysema but not on oxygen yet, for which I feel blessed. Things that happened in my youth that I didn't think I'd make it, I did and see them as blessings. They made me tougher and humbled me. During the fall of last year I was visiting a lot of local lakes in Washington state for places to fish. One day I visited Langlois lake and sat out on a log by the boat launch and started fishing. On either side of the boat launches' gravel road are these tall, essentially leafy walls from the short trees. I could see some ways through these trees to the forest floor on the other side. About, 30 minutes in, I start hearing this loud rustling and crashing coming from further down the gravel path, on the side close to me. I was startled but I assumed it was a deer. The rustling and crashing got nearer and nearer to me, I stared into the trees but couldn't see anything, crazier was that the trees themselves weren't showing any signs of movement. Then, on the other side of the path, another loud crashing began, and I felt this ball of dread drop into my stomach. The crashing and rustling came closer and closer on both sides, and continued for what felt like an eternity, then abruptly stopped. I looked through the trees and couldn't see anything. My mind was racing trying to figure out what the hell was going and, and fortunately some guys showed up in a pickup to fish as well, which calmed my nervousness. Still have no clue what those sounds were coming from, I want to specify, no wind, no sight or sound of deer, moose, or bear. And there were two of whatever it was.

Pardon my English as it's not that good.
My grandfather used to leave just out side of a tropical rainforest in the Philippines. Me and the other grandkids used to spend our summer break holidays at our grandads. He thought us to respect and be EXTRA CAUTIOUS with places like this, cause it's a different kingdom once you enter you play by thier rule. There's a time, a month where it's safe to enter and to do so, wearing any thing colour red is a big NO! Always ask for permission, by doing a ritual and over all protection, this would at least protect you from the elementals that live in that vast territory. He always told us to be wary about "monster that feed of human flesh that lives in the forests, we call it "gabunan" similar to your skinwalkers. As they are very aggressive and persistent, they are known to be on a higher class aswell. They know how to chant, freeze/stun you right where you stand, the moment you look into their eyes. That's why alot of people went missing because this creatures will eat them, they never hunt alone, they hunt by groups, they are normal people just like you and me and when they get hungry they shapeshift anytime of the day and hunt. They are master of illusions, when they sound close it's means they are far, but when they sound like they far it means they are just around you. Sharkpin bones, sting ray tails, can kill them but it will be a fight to the death with this creatures. Any ways it's best not spend so much time alone in places like this, it is understandable the beauty of its nature but that thier territory.

I remember once camping at Yellowstone I was about 8 or 9 I'd say (I'm 21 now) and I've always been a light sleeper. Most camping trips before this I would find myself waking up in the middle of the night for no reason and just listening for however long it took for me to go back to sleep. Anyway this night I had fell asleep along side my brother. I had woken up to this weird noise outside my tent, as usual I started listening. It sounded like one single footstep or something moving, then something very small what I thought was a rock or pebble got thrown at the very top of my tent. Then it happened again, and again and again. When it stopped I never heard it leave, walk away or anything. I eventually had fallen back asleep and I never told anybody about it. As a matter of fact I think this is the first time I've spoke about it. I've heard things about Bigfoot throwing stuff at people's tents but I was never sure. If anybody has an opinion about what it was, i would love to hear it.

So about 9 years ago my gf at the time and I spent one night camping near kodachrome. Woke up frozen from small tickering noises above our tent almost like it was standing up staring down at us? A couple seconds later there were fiddling noises near the campsite table which was about 15 or 20 feet away, two seconds later could sense it was above us again. No footsteps, no breathing, just the presence above us, then over there, then right back above us again. Was probably about 2-7 mins total.
Getting out of the tent was the hardest part.. not that I’d want to hurt anything out of fear but my switchblade was ready lol.
I think we ran to the car first, but couldn’t sleep said f-it, was probably watching us pack everything up and leave camp right there at 2am but I didn’t care about looking crazy at that point, getting a hotel sounded so sweet.

I realized this when I went to my friend’s house in Covington Ga. I live in Atlanta. It was so eerie how quiet it was at about 2am. I could hear a neighbor’s dog barking and half of the area still didn’t have houses built. Her backyard was just a steepish hill, and then woods.
Something about the lack of noise really bothered me though. I was never able to go to sleep until the light came out.

You sir, have a gift that I'm glad to see & hear that you share with the world.
Although I've never seen a big foot nor a dog man, my belief in them stands.
I spent a fair amount of my life in the Sierra Nevada mountains from Shaver lake (east of Fresno) to the Oregon boarder, with much of it around Yosemite to Lake Tahoe. I built custom homes & log cabins in some pretty remote areas.
Thinking back I have encountered "smells" not natural to the area(s) & have seen a few things that just didn't add up. I built my own home on the eastern end of Paradise in N. Calif. , yes, the town that burnt down on Nov. 11,2018, and yes, we lost our home. Our home was on the western side of the Feather river canyon so seeing & hearing the local animals was not unusual such as bears, deer, coyotes, mountain lions and all the small animals as well. One night around 9 P.M. or so, I was finishing up my day and going to the house when I got that feeling that I was being watched but even with a flashlight I couldn't see anything so I just went inside. I couldn't shake the feeling so I went outside again and still had the same feeling. This time I took my spot light that put out a extremely large amount of light but still couldn't see anything. I know something was out there, but what, I don't know? There have been sightings of Big Foot in the area, although most were in the deeper parts of the mountains and most made fun of the people who reported them. "I wonder what kind of dope they were on?", or "how much did he have to drink?", were the common reply's to those reports so I didn't ever mention what happened to me.
Thanks again for what you do, maybe, just maybe it will open the eyes of those who refuse to believe.

The sighting of wolf-like creatures on two feet in national parks and other isolated areas is not new or as unusual as one might think. Drones equipped with FLUR, which detects heat signatures, particularly at night, should be programmed to search areas where these creatures have been detected and then used to establish patterns of movement and possible dens used by these creatures. A military team should then be dispatched to deal with these creatures where they reside. When you consider the large number of people who have vanished in national parks, as depicted by the "Missing 411" series of books and videos, as well as other reports, it should become obvious that we are not taking this issue seriously. This fact is no doubt costing the lives of many who visit these isolated areas.

If a bunch of different animals are running in one direction you should for sure join in on the stampede. Wild animals can sense natural disasters much better than we can. It was likely and earthquake/wildfire/volcanic activity/etc that caused them to all run. Birds, deer, wolves, bears, and many more species have been observed "mass fleeing" from areas just seconds/minutes before a natural disaster. If i see bears and deer and birds all going in one direction out of the forest behind my house, i am 100% following them. They know better than me.
As for having giant rocks (seemingly) thrown at you, i got nothing. Maybe debris from an eruption or small undetected asteroid impact....but that's a stretch. Just wear a helmet when hiking i guess.
And i am just curious....how does a river attack you?
