i've found a good way to hunt quail is drive around through the fields with the atv. you can pretty quickly catch up to the coveys and when you get on top of them the flush making it easy to shoot them
Gotta ask a question: How are you and some of the other Hunter COW posters finding all these diamonds? I'm a level 60, been playing a year, regularly hunt the need zones, shoot all the males, and have maybe a dozen diamonds in all that time. You guys seem to find them every time you go out. How are you doing this?
these guys arent playing in short sessions. iirc ive had a few different COTW streamers/posters say they play a good 8-12 hours a day, just running and shooting everything that'll give them a worthwhile respawn. honestly, with just over 20 days (~500 hours) of playing i still dont have that much in terms of rares or diamonds. most of them have actually come from multiplayer, which brings up the fact that a lot of the time these youtubers are playing on multiplayer and not just their own maps to see more animals. using multiplayer maps can give you a small advantage on finding more and better stuff because youre just seeing more populations and not just your own. there have been days where i've run around one of my maps and found NOTHING. my cuatro has literally no red deer anywhere on the map, maybe like max 5 at one of the northern-most lakes. but if i head over to multiplayer and go to the boot lake, theres red deer everywhere drinking and having a good time, could go to call one herd and three-four more are walking out of the trees where you couldnt see em, just got my first diamond red by checking out multiplayer and finding a low level server. ik on console you cant choose what server you go into but it is still worthwhile, bc once you find a good server you like you are usually set To end this off, you dont see the boring parts of a hunt on these videos. the streams, maybe, but not here. its all cut out, hours of footage stuck together in what, 15-20 minutes altogether? i think my longest session on COTW was a 10 hour trip where i got three good kills. a melanistic female gray wolf, a troll lvl 9 grey wolf, and a diamond bison that literally just made the requirements. everything else was barely worth shooting
I've been doing some testing and I've found a couple interesting things so far. 1. Push a gate hard enough with an ATV it will explode. Literally. 2. The .22 hornet can get single lung on wild hogs at 111 yards so long as it's broadside. 3. Birdshot seems to be the most effective weapons on racoons. 4. I found a 12-16 pound estimate male turkey.
i feel like a west virginia or PA map would be great, adding squirrels to the game. it would most likely have the same animals as the mississippi acres does, excluding the alligators and including the red fox, maybe even adding pigeons, doves, or even crows i guess idk. my point is, i want to see how accurate they can get with the terrain and also i just want to have a map where i live.
I still want to know why Quail scores are soo high, like you have rabits, which are like 1.9 for diamond, and turkeys, being 4.6, and then SMALL quail being 200+
I really hope that the turkey calls and decoys get updated to come with this map when you buy it so the people that don't play the other maps can have them without having to purchase a map they'll rarely play
Finally got my hands on the new map today. I’m a ps4 player and I have to say the map is very fun. However, there are a few bugs that came with the map. I love the map but I can’t play for more than an hour without the game crashing on me. Hoping EW finds the issue and fixes it quickly!
I bought the dlc this morning, only level 10, killed 2 alligators, couldn't reach their bodies to claim them. Racked up on hogs, raccoons and foxes though. Love it and hate it, as a Louisiana native that's hunted in Mississippi, this map drives me nuts with inaccuracies and disregard of a whole hunting culture. But I love your videos man, keep em coming
I don't know if it's a common issue, but I play on PS4 and keep crashing while trying to drive around and get the outposts. I hope a hotfix comes soon because despite being someone who's sick of North America maps, this map looks really fun and awesome. I'm a patient person, but I hope it's soon
Have you found the paper on the bed yet? If so, go into your codex, then mission items, then the kids drawing one. (Probably the last one that there is.). Next inspect it and spin it around. Should get the mission to keep going. I’ve spent like an hour trying to figure it out and finally got it.
Well, my first and ONLY diamond so far, came from a damn TURKEY of all things. It was kinda cheesy too. Just driving along on the ATV, finding all the lookout points and lodges, and a turkey landed in the middle of the highway, right in front of me, I blew it away with the 12g bird shot lol totally random but I'm not complaining
Was really excited to play this new reserve and so far I’ve been kinda disappointed, I’m playing on PS4 and as I’m playing it, it keeps crashing but only on this reserve

My favorite thing to do is run raccoons out of cornfields with the 12ga pump at midnight with my dog. Just like real life. If only you could tree them when they get spooked.
is there a reason to prefer multiplayer? cuz ive noticed that tends to be what you prefer. just wondering if there is a difference in anything besides...well.. other players being on there. and wouldnt that make it harder to hunt things if others are doing the same thing? love your vids by tha way
Cus with birds and shit they just fly of so u hit them in the air racoons u can just chase crocks and stuff u just keep out ur binoculars and every now and then use them look around ul se them before they hear u normally
My first two Turkeys on this map were diamond. One was a brown fur type and the other a bronze fur type. Took one on opening day of this map and the other yesterday. Yesterday’s Turkey was the first animal I stumbled across. They were both 4.6

I’ve found this a pretty good way to hunt gators aswell, just use the drilling rifle with slugs

Just grinding diamonds. Shoot for respawns. Don’t just focus on higher scores. I try to wipe whole herds

I really hope there's some good spots along the edges of the fields for treestands. I would love to get a diamond whitetail with a bow from the stand.

Yeah but I'm guessing the wild hogs are class 4 and the Hornet only goes class's 1 to 2

I have it on Xbox and it works decently. I think there are certain things that cause it to crash like riding atv’s between outposts.

just got a 7.40 trophy rating HARLEQUIN DUCK and i frogot to switch rifle so i shot it with a 300 magnum and fucked it up so its a gold :(
