Beautiful ornament vintage effect, with structure, mix media, simple

Quickly and easily create this mix of textures with a paste and stencil. The decorations give your work that special Shabby Chic charm. A brown glaze creates an antique effect. Technique:
I primed the canvas in places with a paste I made myself. See the video "Making paste" on this in the channel. The paste is solid.
Then place your stencil on the canvas and use the scraper to spread the paste. You can dry the surface slowly with a hair dryer. Then spread the paint with the brush (see list of materials). Apply the paint wet on the surface, then concrete the cracks. Apply dry paint to the surface. Use a cloth to smudge the paint again. This will soften the transitions. The brush strokes from the application disappear. Parts can be wiped off with the dry or wet cloth. It is the same technique as in the sky-cloud-sea videos. There the technique is explained in detail. It is also the same technique as in the videos on the slide. The many layers of colour create depths in the picture. These depths and heights make the picture interesting and give it expression. With only one or two layers of colour the picture looks nice but still a bit flat. With many layers of colour, the viewer begins to explore the picture. The viewer wants to discover it. It also arouses his curiosity.
And you yourself will have fun painting for longer ;) You will experiment a lot here. Try yourself out. Get to know the tools by making them. As a beginner, you can apply the paint in a relaxed way and enjoy painting. I include the paints and the ingredients for the putty, as well as a ready-to-use paste (link above).
