Your videos are so good I’m surprised why you don’t have more hits, are you tagging your videos and embedding metadata/naming your uploaded files? You should have tons more views for sure. I follow you and a lot of other Miata channels, yours is amongst my favorite.
A word of warning. The screen will start to lift on the bottom right side. Thought this was only me, but after reading on Amazon seems to be a widespread issue. Could be due to temperatures, but even so for how expensive this unit is, that shouldn't be happening.
@@Seandoestech probably started back in October and got worse recently. It's actually starting to lift around the top aswell. I emailed dasaita and they just ignored me.
Just curious were you ever able to get proper SWC in apple carplay, on my headunit I could not get my voice button to work for siri. If I set it to voice in the settings app it would just bring up google assistant, and if I tried to set it to siri in the settings of the zLink app it would fail and say that it could not program the key. I contacted support and never got a response.
I have bought this already. I am so happy and very smart in my rav4. But rhe only mistake is it shows me the wrong door that opens in the car - the opposite door. How can I reset it? I tried to go in factory settings. But there is no rudder listed. can you help me?

do you have to have a wiring adapter to use the Dash Apps you have or just a OBD? Cause i wanna be able to have my dash stuff going on the screen such as MPH, Trip Meter, Fuel, Rpms etc....
Like the Miata I think it’s going to be really tight. It looks like you have room up and down and side to side but I’m not sure if your stick shift will hit the screen you need to make sure that you have about 2.5 inches of clearance from your knuckles when they’re wrapped around your gearshift all the way forward from the center stack where your radio is. It’s a rare car that has enough space where nothing is blocked. In my car the top vents are slightly blocked and my heater controls are slightly blocked on the bottom. In your case it looks like your controls and your vents are on top so your controls might be slightly blocked.
By any chance how did you set up the wireless CarPlay? I’ve been having issues in having my iPhone being recognized. It continues to just say “waiting”. Thanks in advance!
Yeah I did. You have to make sure Bluetooth with the iPhone and Dasaita is working. I think 🤔 I think you have to forget the Bluetooth connection a couple times to help reset it then it would connect easily.
@@Seandoestech I like the unit but a bit annoyed they cheated on the power output, with electronics these days its not hard to build a good output into the unit, in the process of now putting an amp in the car

Yes, Bluetooth is terrible with this unit. You can find updates here: www.google.com/amp/s/forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-android-head-units-general/dasaita-mcu-updates-rockchip-px5-octa-t3575155/amp/

I’m assuming you’re doing the obvious thing by going into your android phones Wi-Fi settings and turning on the personal hotspot correct? If you are you, may wanna leave it on that screen and not exit and then go to your head unit and attempt to connect to your android hotspot. I know this is how it works on iOS but I’m not sure if android works the same way.
@@Seandoestech i did that, but im not finding an option to connect to the hotspot on the headunit itself. Its giving its own name and password like its its own hotspot
I just purchased this unit and haven't received it yet but one of my main objectives is to connect via hot spot. Using Samsung Galaxy S10+. I hope a resolution is found, didn't want to cancel my order..
Right, you are using your phones data directly because your basically using only the screen of the head unit when in AA or CP mode. Of course your head unit becomes a hotspot when connecting to iPhone car play wirelessly.
It can work with any vehicle just know dasaita doesn't have a harness for every vehicle so you're gonna have to buy a harness from metra for your vehicle, cut the ends off one of the harness that came with the headunit (Do the cut the part that plugs into the headunit or your done fucked up) and do some soldering, etc. And you're done. Also he sure to look up your vehicles harness diagrams and see which pins belongs to which. It's a long process

Yes. If they run on Android... some streaming apps like Disney will not because they lock out non mobile phone devices.

Not unless you convert it down to a composite video signal (yellow rca) and use one of the camera inputs 😉

You can't without putting a rom on it
