The majority of the counters here have been Ults, you usually won't have ult when their Jeff Ults. and the Thor one is very inconsistent, unless it was fixed in a patch. I've gotten sallowed in multiple instances when I was in the apex of the ult. Jeff is so bad and his round head hitbox makes him get 2-3 always but the ultimates have still made me lose some GM games.

Cloak and Dagger doesn't need to waste their ULT to survive jeff... Just use Cloak's "Dark Teleportation" ability (I believe it's RIGHT click). It makes you and your teammates completely invulnerable to damage and also invisible (Just make sure not to shoot while in it, or you end it early). One of my friends mains Cloak and Dagger, and I lost track of how many times he saved our team from a JEFF ult or any other ULT
I mean, most of them are escape/evade abilities, so wasn't really surprised, the ones that caught me off guard were groot and punisher. Also, as Jeff you can also evade if you're swimming in a wall, what matters is that you're not touching the ground at any cost, even just a little high is enough.
Dont even have to use Cloak and Daggers Ult. Just switch to Cloak real fast and use his L2 or right click. Theres enough time to switch to cloak real fast and press the button from when Jeff goes underground to the 3 bells that go off before he eats you
Also, Peni's spidermine thing can kill him when he ults because it's just spitting out mines undisturbed and the build up is deadly. You can also overlap Namor's ult when Jeff attacks with his and release for the kill when he goes in to swallow much like you would do with the other Jeff attack. I've done both of these things and have one recorded (the Namor thing).
Holy shit, I was loving this game because it's like original Overwatch where everyone is over powered so you have to play like a chess match. but they somehow managed to make it a little bit balanced, which is absolutely incredible, as long as Jeff's doesn't become completely useless, since everyone can block it now, this should be really good
ult is a newbie pub stomper but really just a slight fear factor when in overtime. You still really only play him because.. its jeff, clearly not for his strenght :(
Oooooohhhhhh! The Groot wall tells me that it's not so much just being in Jeff's AoE that lets him nom you. It's more of a LoS from the center within the AoE marker. Noted!
As jeff you can also just use his movement ability where he goes under, no need to use ult unless he eats your teammates. This doesn’t work in the winter gamemode though.
Cloaks shift and Hulk and Magnetos bubble shields are probably the best ones because they can save you as well as your teammates and you don't have to waste an Ult charge
Magneto can also sheild it, cloak can make your entire team phase through unless they attack or reload (unless the cloak is frame perfect) and jeff can just swim to avoid it
Cloak can use his cloaking ability to avoid a lot of one shot ults, not just for himself but the team if they’re around. Long lasting ults you better use it to run.
You can also use Terror cape as Cloak. Really reliable because usually hearing it gives you enough time to switch if they use time to line it up. Doing this also saves all friends Jeff would have :)
i dont understand how the groot one works but a little tip is that any time your health bar gets a yellow highlight around it its an indicator that you are immune to cc's

I realized this right after the first match against Jeff. How could you find out about it in 150 hours? If your ability gives you invulnerability, the ability to fly (jump high), then it's clear that it will save you from the ult. The only abilities that are surprisingly saving and can really help, but that's understandable too. The Punisher's turret creation ability puts the character's model on the turret model, which is why Jeff can't eat the turret with you. Groot's ability saves you because Ult Jeff doesn't work through walls. I don't want to offend anyone with this message, but this information is not needed by the average user.
If I had to guess, Jeff’s ultimate requires there to not be an obstacle blocking him from a potential target (E.G. a wall, or in this case, a barrier made by Groot)
There are a few that just have easier options. For example, Jeff can just dive and save his ult and Magneto's bubble makes the target CC immune. Basically, if you are CC immune, he is countered (CC immunity is the gold bar around the life bar)
Jeff sucking people into his ult counts as crowd control. When your health bar has a yellow outline, it means you are immune to crowd control effects. Anything that does that stops you from being eaten.

He tried flying up in response to the ult but it didn't work until he started holding back to fly backwards while going up
Eagles fans can say that Hurts going out won the Commanders the game, but yet Picket didn't play too bad and they also had Barkley to run the ball. But in the end the defence folded and that's something that looked like was going to happen regardless if hurts was in or not. The Winter event has also really highlighted how easy it is to just walk out of it if you have even the slightest bit of a downward slope from stairs.
I've seen that work against Psylock's ult, too.

Jeff's ult is a 10m sphere. SGs tail jump is 9m, so you either need to be off center, or you need to jump into it first.
Interesting, SG can also double jump if she jumps, eats the acorn, and jumps again, can she do it in time though

You forgot about cloak. His shroud protects him and teammates from Jeff's ult (as long as they don't attack or use abilities while shrouded.

For this to work, some heroes need to trigger that escape ability exactly when they hear the bell sounds after Jeff goes inside and makes circles.

The timing is simple, you get affected by the ult after the 3 bells, so you can use that to counter with starlord's dash or rion fist's parry.

And if you’re and enemy Jeff just activate yours after you hear theirs go off. They can’t grab you you can grab them
