I love these episodes Claudio. I’m a graphic artist starting mid 1980s and really enjoy the deep dive into old school typography, photography and printing. And the KISS insights are great!
I am over the moon with these episodes!! Thanks so much Claudio! So much enjoy all the details, stories and funny stuff.. thanks guys. How about a dvd with all the episodes :))
Thank you so much for doing this project, every "episode" is an absolute goldmine to us Kiss nerds. Sean Delaney and Dennis Woloch are some of the most buried people when it comes to Kiss' success being told in "Kisstory." Gene and Paul are taking all the credit.
That band at intro sounds awesome. I really appreciate the historical technical info about how album covers and ephemera were made back then. I was on the tail end of doing manual graphics in the early 90s. Dennis is a treasure trove of info and very entertaining. Claudio asks all the right questions.
I loved when he asked you Claudio if you knew what "space cadet" meant... LOL. You were like "Umm... noooo. What does it mean?!" As if you really meant "Can we get back to talking about the Peter Criss solo album please." LOL One of the best parts of the conversation. Love your videos and interviews.
Unmasked is the most incredible KISS record. Everything worked together. Amazing songs and production. Sure its not a Metal record but thats what makes the album so perfect
The three artwork panels were sold at the 2000 Butterfields KISS auction and Peter is NOT winking in the panel. So it was changed on the photo of the final panel, not the panel itself.
Someone isn't remembering what happened accurately because Victor literally said that Dennis is the one who told him to make Peter winking and told him not to tell anyone.
The GASP! art is the band faces from the Dynasty poster. Peter’s panel source picture is from the Alive2 cover. Gene with the Axe bass is a well known Dynasty tour promo shot. If they only paid him $1500 (for artwork for an album they expected to sell a million units plus of) then they’re even bigger cheapskates than I thought!
yeah thats ridiculous even back then. when he said Victor asked for a lot of money, I was expecting him to say like 100,000 dollars or something, not 1500 bucks lol
I wouldn't pay this guy two ball hairs for the atrocity that is this albums artwork. Terrible. The first panel says it all. It's unfinished. Two members in full costume...and the other two in leotards. Terrible
"IF IT'S GOOD IT'S GOOD," but unfortunately, the Euro Pop sounding Unmasked wasn't good, and a lot of the original KISS fans jumped ship when it came out.
What bothers me the most about the Unmasked cover is not the "I still say they stink" panel....but the first panel where only half the band appears to be in full costume. Gene and Ace are in full Dynasty/Unmasked regalia....while Paul and and Peter are both in leotards. Kinda off-putting. Especially when Ace and Gene's costumes are so over-bearing with the capes etc etc
That’s what Paul and Peter mostly looked like at the end of the show. Peter didn’t wear the cats for the actual show. Paul took his purple top off after the first few songs.
@@Cucumbercastle ya ..but as a 5 year old fan...I didn't know that....that it was after a show. All I knew was that "something" was off. And judging by the drum set having more than one kick drum says it all...that Peter was bye bye
Top notch video.
thanks mate!

Love this series. As a KISS fan growing up in the 70’s and working in the graphic arts industry, these videos are amazing. Thanks for posting!
Ty Claudio and Dennis!! I really enjoy this series! Ty for doing this for the fans!! P.s. I really love your artwork for Phantoms/ Klassik 78!!

Congrats Claudio!! As a kiss fan and as an artist, these pack of interviews surely are becoming part of kisstory.
Thank you. I appreciate it

I was in college in the late 90's and I did some manual layout. It was a lot of work!
Awesome content brother.. thanks for your hardwork. Dennis is a legend and a major part of kisstory
He is indeed. Thanks for watching
Beautiful album cover for Klassik '78! Love it!
This is just fantastic stuff!!! Subscribed. Now I have to go back to the beginning discussions and watch them all.
Love those interviews. Big thanks to you, Claudio, and of course also to Dennis.
Happy to see this video pop up this morning!
Thanks great artwork and music!
I’ve watched this several times; just dig the conversation between these two gentlemen!
Another great video, I love this entire series and always look forward to new episodes.
great job sir !!!!- love these!!!!!!!
I love these videos. It brings back a lot of memories
Next we will dive deep into the 80s. My favorite era of the band
It was worth the wait!!!!!! Thank you 🙏!!!!!’

I love the fonts you use on your videos.
I'm thinking Dennis is in the I Love It Loud video and The Kiss Exposed home video. Was he involved with The Creatures album art work ?
Yes I designed and art directed The Creatures cover. Photo Bernard Vidal.
Howard Marks is the dad in ILIL video and gets a pie in the face on Exposed.

I admit I am hazy on that.
Absolutely excellent! And, "What the f#@k next?" 😅
Love Dennis,
I wish I could ask Dennis if he was at the Party at Peter’s house when he was shooting his gun into the ceiling!!🤣🤣
I wan’t there. Wish I was!
I was there. Someone had said something to Peter about not keeping his litter box clean on tour. He pulled out his Love gun and pop pop pop .....😂😂
The gasp picture should have been a live shot with the band taking of latex masks but still having the makeup on....
Pardon my ignorance, but, what is the bell for?
It's for his man-servant 😂
Every time the bell rings, a demon get his wings.
Writer of Tina Turner's biggest hits, Holly Knight, played the keyboards on this album. Very glad they modified Eric's makeup from the original.
Gene is 1,88cm / 6,2 / so what is he talking about ???
He is all over the place with alot of things and other things he remember the whole conversations/ 😉

@@charlesbronson4282 hardly. The artist just drew a drum set. Eric Carr wasn’t even hired when Unmasked came out, so it wasn’t a hint at anything.
@@Cucumbercastle but Anton Fig played a double kick. And the poster inside showed Peter with a tear.
@@charlesbronson4282 there’s no double kick played on the stuff Anton ghosted on on those two albums. You’re totally reaching here bud.
