I was there as a cats fan. the first grand final I have gone to. I screamed my head off. the electricity from Geelong supporters was amazing. I raced from the 4th level of the g basically the top of the stadium after the presentation and made it to the fence as the boys were going around the fence and got to see my fave stengle and got a high 5. love my team

@@jacknortham8281 I thought Danger did the hard work, he was massive with his contested ball wins. Had a stack of goal assists too, and nearly 500 m gained himself. Smith was amazing but I thought he was running riot on the outside of the contest, so for that I preferred Danger.

great question this was a long convo at the game i personally think that stengle should have gotten best on ground or close both amazing players worked very hard, stengle’s goals were just beautiful. as for close as a “young” player for geelong he works so well with our older forwards (they both do rlly) pretty good disposal efficiency, it would be hard not to mention the amount of support they get from the crowd. ofc smith has earned it an amazing player couldn’t be more proud that was just my opinion.

Seen many great players for Geelong and the other teams. Joel Selwood has achieved his dream and been a wonderful role model in all aspects of a club captain and a human being.

I've had the privilege of being at the G for the each of the Cats flags in 2007, 2009, 2011. This year 2022 was by far the most enjoyable and impressive win of all. They completely humiliated a quality Sydney team. The only thing that wphld have made it more enjoyable would have been to have done it to Collingwood in the GF 🤣. It was a complete TEAM performance. Soooo proud of these boys and the whole club behind them. The trade period was brilliant, what a fabulous group of young new players. Bring on 2023, and let's get another Flag. 💪

Credit where credit is due, Geelong won and good on them.
It’s such a shame Melbourne couldn’t replicate 2021 due to a variety of factors including sporadic injuries and suspension to crucial players (Gawn, May, Lever, Brown, Oliver, Petracca, Salem, Harmes) during the season. No continuity whatsoever. In spite of all that, they still managed 2nd spot.
Still think a fit and healthy Melbourne akin to 2021 were the only team that could have made the GF and seriously push Geelong and win.
Sydney were just purely inexperienced and folded like a cheap camping chair. Collingwood weren’t guaranteed to put in a close showing either. They arguably exerted more energy coming back and only losing by a point in the prelim.
Geelong in that kind of mood would have destroyed Sydney or Collingwood.
