- Thought some people on this channel might be interested in this frankly brilliant remix of the old Australian Commodore advert.
(I will also upload side B as there is non on youtube of side B)
Yes, I am keeping up with the Commodore after all these years
I finally caught up. :)
YEAAAAA
hey we had this song in the USA too! Still keeping up with all my Commodores!
Impressive how this thing became viral
There's a good reason.
Am I the only person who plays this song for vibes?
My C64c just arrived, I'm listening to this while coding on it lmao
whare to find this record?
Amazing !!
What if commodore did keep up into 2020?
It would certainly be a much different playing field in the computer world.
@@minty_Joe I bet Amiga would be still kicking as an alternative to Mac: after all, the OS is still being developed!
@@TheEmeraldMenOfficialAmiga was a lost battle against the IBM PC from the start. Only a C64-compatible 16-bit-machine could have killed the IBM and become the ancestor of our current machines. - It would have been possible, a compatible CPU was around, Apple used it for the 16-Bit-II GS which was compatible with the 8-Bit-II; they nerfed it because they were afraid it would otherwise kill the Mac.
If it did, we wouldn't have minimalism, and life would've been much more fun, unlike what it is today...
Too fast, sounds like crap. The real slow version of this song sounds much better.
I kinda wonder if the guys who made this song for an advert know they're a meme now.
I just unironically think it's a legitimately excellent song.
What was the meme usage out of curiosity?
@@DewMan001 The ad went viral. It’s sort of a meme in that it’s just really popular.
@@TheEmeraldMenOfficial oh. Just that it's popular and sort of very of its era?
If so, that's better than I was expecting
@@DewMan001 Yep. It's just viral because it's the most 1980s thing ever. As such it kinda became an anthem for retro computing geeks from what I can tell, and this cover evolved out of that.
And I agree, that song's a bop. I wanna find who wrote it and get a full version.
@@TheEmeraldMenOfficial huh. I'll take that as a retro computing fan myself. I was expecting way worse.
Also I thought this was the original??
