Super Anthony is equipped with 15 patented steel-geared IQ4516HV servomotors, delivering a mighty 45 kg-cm torque to every part of his body that overpowers all other machines on the market. In comparison:

What you're looking at here is a purpose-built fighting bot, optimized specifically to compete in robot kung fu. It has its basic 4-directional movement, some punches and kicks, and way more power to weight in its servos than you would ever need for just about anything other than fighting. It doesn't need any other functions; its sole purpose is to hit other bots in the face, and that's what it does.
Also, Super Anthony can walk. Better than almost any bot of this size I've seen, at that. Certainly better than what older ones I've looked at.
Robots *have* evolved over the past ten years. You're just looking in the wrong place.
