Yes, our Fujikaze💛 , 6/2 tomorrow, @Apolo theater in NY starting soon💛 He just finished his first LA lives which was incredible I was not there though unfortunately. xxx from Tokyo, JP
So glad you loved it. I am one of fortunate people went to his concert in Apollo Theater in NYC, and as soon as I hear his voice, my eyes were filled up with tears of happiness. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been. Just soooo amazing. I would recommend Workin' hard, Matsuri and Tiny desk concert!
I'm glad you responded to this song 😊 I think his songs are very appealing, but I think what's most appealing about them is the enchanting atmosphere and the fact that they seem understandable but you can never fully comprehend them. "KAZE" is his real name, which means "wind" in English, and I think it's the perfect name for him. Please respond to "Working Hard" MV next ti❤
Loved your reaction. First time l saw this video l was mesmerised. You will love his Tiny Desk Japan mini concert. Fuji Kaze will make you feel all emotions... but mostly pure joy. Looking forward to more.
Fellow metalhead here, and a fan of Fujii as well. I think you nailed in your analysis, it's the way I interpret this live version... the tense intro, which could mean a hectic life for a struggling young man, and then it smoothes like butter. He found the one. He'd "rather die" if that special someone isn't with him, "choose her over three meals a day", wants her "to be his last". Kaze has a way with his voice and his lyrics are very simple but honest and deep. He's a storyteller and the stories resonate to all of us. Everytime he sings, he adds new nuance to his songs. But this one... I don't think he ever sounded as sincere, as avid, desperate but hopeful, as youthful as here. His face mirrors his voice. It's a moving love story, and spectacularly skillfull way of telling it. For me, he's the Japanese Bill Withers (which he once covered).
Kaze is our sunshine boy. Not only is he an amazing artist but an even better human. He makes my heart happy.
