It’s about time you were honoured in the next birthday honours list, Fletch. I enjoy your humour and I think l’ve watchhed about a 100 of these shows, keep it up , fletch!
Thanks Fletch. Nice to see another Atherton show and know that it is supporting such a good cause. I loved seeing the EH S4 at the start. The XC Fairlane made me green with envy and all the restorations you featured were truly special. Sarah seems to be doing a good thing and … I suspect that the local traffic cops are familiar with her Yaris😊!
Hi Fletch Around the time of the EH onwards GMH at Fishermans Bend were playing around with forced induction be it Turbo or Supercharging , Their test track at that stage was the old Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation runways next door ,The location of Melbournes Riverside Dragway .The Eh S4 boot lid badge was a plain version of the crossed flags 179 but with an S4 transfer applied to it. A sort after trophy amongst kids at the time who were into stealing car badges ! John Keane.
Another great episode, Mr. Fletch. Mr. Gavin’s 1958 Holden Ute is a good looking car. I don’t mind saying I had a small prideful tear well up in my right eye 😢 when I saw St. Andrew’s Cross hanging there way Down Yonder in Mr. Don’s garage.
Thank you Kevin. I love to know my United State's audiences are watching. I have such a soft spot for the USA, returning back there twice in 2023. Cheers & thanks again Kevin. Regards Fletch 👍
Great to see a video of a car show in the best part of the entire planet, FNQ. This video has inspired me to get my old Toyota Crown converted to V8 power, and get it up to Atherton next year! I was there around 4 years ago and can't wait to get back. 😊
Gerard, that is a big statement. It is over whelming to hear that - but thank you SO much for your kind words. Sometimes my job can be taken for granted by some, but then a comment like yours comes in and brings things back to "why" I keep doing what I do. Cheers Gerard. Fletch 👍👍
Giday Fletch love your work. Just wanted to ask if for one episode if you could do a calibration with Wasteland Firebird. Between yourselves the best two car shows on RUclips
Gday Fletch , hope you had a ball up here in Gods country , did you get to visit the big Cairns car show in August , my Premier wagon and I were a bit crook to make it this year ( front end problem and a bad back ) . Always love your stuff , see you on the road mate .
It was a S4 😵💫anyway MOPAR for life . Love the valiant Ute owned 3 of them . Give me a AP5 over a eh any day stronger motor gear box an diff an can better hotted up for more power then a eh plus the Valiant has way superior suspension the right sway bars rims an tyres an sitting low is a joy to drive .
Nah mate.........Holden's are more gooder. I've had HT, HG, LH Torana, VK Commodore wagon.....all good cars. Holden's won lot's of Bathursts. How many did Chrysler win? Efficient, engines, great suspension, excellent Styling and legendary durability in Holdens. The defence rests. 😉👍
Wayfarers rule! That VC ute is the ducks guts! Nothing better, loved mine to pieces! Shoulda put it in the container and shown the Sepos what a real ute is! Mine would've towed the Queen mary up bloody Bourke St!
Hey Paul. Yes mate, I thought I would try a different angle away from the cars. That is inside my shack. I am set up as a DX Station and I work the world from inside there. All the best Paul, hopefully we can catch up on air sometime, 73's. Fletch VK2MRF.
As a guy who loves attending these shows and taking photos en masse, i just wish participants would give some thought to how the cars are laid out. They're often parked too close together, have poles or flags plonked in front of them or parked in a way that doesn't take advantage of the sunlight to light them up......and it's annoying. An LX Torana hatchback was at a show i attended recently, and had it's silly looking 'hatch hutch' (or whatever it's called) attached to the back. All i wanted to see and photograph, was the car! Come on guys.........self correct!
Come on Mark, it's not a documentary about the jungle, it was purely a flash in the pan mention. If you would like the job of writing for TV episodes, please let me know. Why not appreciate the episode for "what" it is. Cheers.
@@classicrestostv1fletch764 sorry, had my grumpy pants on when I wrote that... Actually my dad did jungle training there before he was sent to New Guinea
@@markwalmsley8243 Hi Mark, well, that was very kind of you to let me know that. In light of that, I really appreciate you letting me know - a lot would not have. Thank you. We can all have a bad day...thanks again for watching Mark. Cheers Fletch 👍
Hey Rusty. That's a shame mate. I don't know what you had, but the Beef Burgers with salad were delicious. Cheers mate, hoping you enjoy next year. Fletch 👍

And some-one told me those (and other) badges made excellent belt buckles 😇
