Ayy has anyone noticed that they didn't even answer the person's question on dreadlock maintenance? LOL This entire episode made me laugh my stomach out bro🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣
What a banger of an episode, I struggled with ashy lips for most of my childhood and I’ll never forget my Valentine getting me chapstick back in high school 😭
🤣🤣🤣 Bro, Saris are only worn by Indian *women*! I'm dying. You guys are awesome and amen to everything you guys talked about. Except maybe your attitude about infant baptism lol. I don't practice it, but I think it was an ironic discussion right after the story you told about the phone call to the prayer line. Great discussion about locks!!!
I think that person that mentioned 'Athens' may be referring to the influence that Greek mythology has had on the surface Christian. Most people that are not as 'deep' into scripture may hold a view of God, the devil, and angles and demons that have been falsely represented by Greek mythology. i.e. "evil demons with pitch forks" . Dr. Michael Heiser expounds on this topic in great detail in his book "The Unseen Realm: Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible"
That is so true. All peeps of other nationalities (one in particular), don't just go up to people and touch their hair; THAT'S RUDE!!! I've had that happen to me before and she act like she was offended because I didn't want her touching my freshly done braids; I knew her, but that was still rude.
None of the Fathers or councils of the Church was claiming that the practice was contrary to Scripture or tradition. They agreed that the practice of baptizing infants was the customary and appropriate practice since the days of the early Church; the only uncertainty seemed to be when-exactly-an infant should be baptized. Further evidence that infant baptism was the accepted practice in the early Church is the fact that if infant baptism had been opposed to the religious practices of the first believers, why do we have no record of early Christian writers condemning it? But Fundamentalists try to ignore the historical writings from the early Church which clearly indicate the legitimacy of infant baptism. They attempt to sidestep appeals to history by saying baptism requires faith and, since children are incapable of having faith, they cannot be baptized. It is true that Christ prescribed instruction and actual faith for adult converts (Matt. 28:19-20), but his general law on the necessity of baptism (John 3:5) puts no restriction on the subjects of baptism. Although infants are included in the law he establishes, requirements of that law that are impossible to meet because of their age are not applicable to them. The same was true of circumcision; faith in the Lord was necessary for an adult convert to receive it, but it was not necessary for the children of believers.
