Your Moma has learned to bloom were she's planted for sure. Beautiful shade garden. My husband's uncle took an old shovel and made a crow with marble eyes. It's in my garden.

I love the tours of your mama's garden, no matter what season of the year; it is a beautiful magical place. Mimi's garden sort of reminds me of my grandmama's garden. My grandmama's garden had more sun, but her yard was about 2 acres in size. She lived in eastern NC with hot summers and no irrigation. There were beautiful plants and flowers everywhere you looked. She didn't baby her plants either. They made it or they didn't. I loved spending time with her in her yard gardening with her. You are so lucky your garden buddy is your mama. I'm always up for a tour of Mimi's garden.

This comparison of spring/winter in MiMi's garden just filled my heart with joy! It really gives new people the ability to see the importance of winter interest in shade areas. That it doesn't have to look sad in winter. That green interest can exist in winter shade! Vole bags are something that I didn't even know existed! Thank you Vole King! And please thank MiMi for letting us see her favorite picks in her beautiful garden.🥰

I love the way you speak of your Momma and the relationship that you share. You should really talk her into doing videos of her even if it is with the exception that you don't share them with the public, but that you have something very meaningful and precious to hold on to when she is no longer of this earth. I also love her taste in all she has done around her property. She reminds me so much of my own mother who was also in the school system (both her and my Daddy) for many years. I could never keep up with her. Watching the two of you constantly reminds me of her. Thank you for that!

We cut down a large dead pecan tree from our front yard last year. I believe we are going to turn the stump into some kind of water feature. A few years ago we lost a very large oak tree from the corner of our back yard to a hurricane. We found out the tree had a hole running throughout the center. My husband has cut the tree into chunks to use as planters. Pink portulaca is beautiful planted in the center hole. My mother would have loved your mother’s garden. She had several varieties of azalea and dogwood planted all over 6 acres.

I can feel the love and admiration in your voice towards your mom in this video. You did such a great job showing the various areas now and in their full bloom.
She's a maven and a warm light in all of your lives. Enjoy and cherish her for as long as the Good Lord allows. My mom is my best friend and fellow gardener as well. I can honestly say that our gardening memories are the greatest and I will forever hold them in my heart . My son and I have also made gardening memories together and so the ritual continues and the garden flourishes as do our souls. Thanks, Jenny. I loved this video!
I was also wondering if Mimi can tell us what those helleborus with the thin leaves are called. As a final thought, that sunny area Mimi has up front would look incredible with a gorgeous DA rose hedge surrounding it. 😘
