Nice stores, good products, friendly staff, and great value. Can’t really speak to the past, but it’s a great grocery that supplies almost all my household food. Never been disappointed.

Not one statement of fact or claim made by the network was shown to be false. The wage stealing seller of spoiled meat got off by convincing the court that its privacy was violated. That’s the end of the story. ABC’s reporting was solid and damning.

I work in the meat department 2021. It's no different at Food Lion. The workers and manager are bullies and there's nothing I can do about it. It is still as unsanitary. The meat grinder has bad cigarette coughs and coughs on the meat he's grinding. They force me to stay an hour longer than I'm scheduled, which is illegal without my consent. The manager has harassed me and HR has done absolutely nothing about it. They pay basically minimum. This isn't sustainable or ethical. This is 2021. I'm waiting on a call interview from a factory nearby Friday. I'm going to keep trying and escape this ignorant place.

United Food and Commercial Workers union and ABC worked together to destroy Food Lion because the workers voted not to Unionize. So, the union didn’t get what they wanted so they had a tantrum and caused thousands of people to lose their jobs. How psychotic is that? Unions claim to help workers, but actually just help themselves.

No proof of any of that exists. The source of those claims came from people suing food lion over labor issues. Nothing from the 43 hours of undercover video, nor any government inspection found any evidence of it. North Carolina inspected every food lion after this story and found 0 violations. This story caused millions of people to stop shopping there by exposing its nasty habits and the company (which is part of a huge multinational company based in Europe) had to closed hundreds and hundreds of stores and was forced to exit whiole markets. It’s amazing that anyone shops at this store which is now only located in the South in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
Food Lion has 1100 stores, in 10 states, as of this year. I worked there several years and I am one of the workers in the video. I worked in the deli, in Myrtle Beach, SC. They filmed almost a hundred hours of footage, and made traps, to get us to say a lot of what was said. I had to watch all the footage, for the Lawyers, for court. After watching all the footage, we saw where they pieced words and bits together, to make the video. We got to see them buy deli meat, take outside, put in their van. Leave it a couple days, then brought back, saying it was bad. The guy met up with the girl, and said, Come on, let's go get these guys. ABC Primetime, is known for making stories, for ratings, and has got in trouble, multiple times. That is what ended the show.

I’m a vendor at food lion and unfortunately there are some really bad stores but I have found some that were amazing
