Today I review the 2 NEW sauces from McDonald's! The Mambo Sauce and the Sweet & Spicy Jam! I got an early look at these since they are not supposed to be launched until later in the month. I just HAD to share them with you!
The perfect sauce makes every bite better, and we know real sauce stans go the extra mile. From perfecting their dipping techniques to stashing extra sauce cups in a drawer for a rainy day (IYKYK), sauce culture is real, and it runs deep.
Fans have used McDonald’s iconic sauces to put their own twist on menu classics like Chicken McNuggets® and World Famous Fries® for years. And starting Oct. 9*, we’re adding two delicious new flavors to the roster:
McDonald’s Sweet & Spicy Jam Sauce: A jammy red pepper sauce with a tongue- numbing Szechuan peppercorn kick and extra heat from cayenne pepper; finished with apple cider vinegar. I'm from the D.C. area and the sauce here is called Mumbo sauce but a company in Chicago has the trademark for it. So McDonalds had to call it Mambo sauce. There is a Chicago sauce that reminds me of this called "Mild Sauce", but it's loosely based on sweet and sour sauce with a few other ingredients. You see mumbo sauce wings come out of Chinese takeaways

Just get yourself a big bottle of Mae Ploy, it's what most of the restaurants use and it's one of my favorite sauce when I'm grilling wings

Does anybody remember that Sonic had like a spicy grape jam sauce or something like that or am I the only one, it had to be close to 10 to 15 years ago when it was on the menu.
The other thing is that Burger King used to have a really good couple sauces one of them was the Kung Pao sauce and the other was like a jalapeno barbecue my favorite sauces I remember getting them around 2009 to like 2010 or 11 and then they took them off the menu am I the only one that remembers those?

It will be interesting to see how the mambo sauce is accepted near me (DC suburbs), considering you can get the real thing at alot of local spots. I have three different versions in my kitchen right now 😂
