Its absolutely staggering tearful,these pubs clubs are our kind of a museum history of our lands, a home from home for everyone, and kept you as a human a reason to live,a bit of banter a company to someone on there own and a social centre point,apart from employment, etc we should be preserving everyone ,,these are history just like our old island, everything in tradition,, history for future generations just like our of shops,,,why to god have we allowed them to destroy our lives,,and waste £$millions upon millions upon,,plastic facades"" God bless Terry your keeping history alive

@@ecotts God bless you friend to you and all your family,friends and everyone, no matter your colour creed faith, love peace and goodwill to all peoples,, yes friend it's so utterly sad history is broken down ,it's selfish monumental waste of gigantic money, resources,time love comfort,,we look back on b+w photographs video's etc with affection loving memories and sadness,of remembrance,regret etc where decisions of folly greed and selfishness have took away mans energy love in building that shop house home etc, and replaced a facade of plastic,false squareness, probably every town city village had it's beauty,a town hall, bridge, whatever replaced by something oh economical ?or something' to bring in MORE 💰 etc , and when people go on holidays to old distant country's,, they bring back reminiscing of old town halls churches cathedrals even markets," oh it was beautiful wonderful,when they all ready had those similar things in there own vicinity,but on a whim let's knock it down" build better" argh forget about money"???? Friend it's waste waste waste and I feel at times a space between god and the bible and the real important things in our lives. Whenever I had to travel to London I always looked forward to interacting with all the beautiful people. This lady is a prime example of the hospitality and the beauty of London.

Reminds me many, many years ago when I was a child waiting at the door pub with a packet of crisps while my grand father had a pint inside.
Always somebody playing the piano and the only thing I wanted was to get in,but I was too young.
Few years later I was with my wife in this pub but the piano had been replaced by slot machine...what a sound.

Loved it. Got a "mini Miles" concert here in this lovely video. Great variety. Angie is a peach and she's definitely in the right kind of job. It is a shame that the old tyme pianos in pubs is a thing of the past. There's just something about hearing some vibrant boogie woogie while in a setting like that which just feels right. Get rid of all the flat screens and sports.

Great video as ever Terry. The Betsy Trotwood is a pretty well know gig venue. Aside from the main bar there are gigs on the floor above and below.
Terry if your ever south leicestershire area, try the Kings Head in Smeeton Westerby ,they have an upright just begging to be played, try and make it ,many would like to hear you play. 😁👍
In case you missed it, there's a pub called "THE PIANO WORKS" across the street, to the south!

Worth putting on youtube: I have just added this pub to my next London itinerary. Not many places have a piano, and even fewer have one in such good condition, with such a nice tone.

I live a 20 minute walk from the Betsey Trotwood and they often have live music and comedy etc. downstairs too. Nice place. Oh, top marks for the Joe 90 theme there mate! All the best..👍
