- Today, I'm reviewing the new Parfums De Marly Oriana perfume that just launched! "A gourmand, floral and fruity fragrance designed entirely as a variation on texture. A mille-feuille of flaky sweetness, softness, and sensuality. A sparkling and juicy opening of mandarin and Italian bergamot with a joyful orange blossom flower and blackcurrant heart leads to a flimsy delight of marshmallow and airy sweetness of Chantilly cream that are addictive. The ambrette and musk base notes add a carnal touch to the composition. A glowing delight. "

Thank you for your review. It looks awesome. Body chemistry is so unique so I completely understand why a particular note might not work for your skin. I love sandalwood on other people but it smells sharp and horrible soapy on me. And I like a clean soap scent but on me it can turn bad. Same for Iris. And anything with any vetiver or amber as an ingredient is magnified on my skin and in mid to dry down, this is all I smell like. Crazy.
I never by parfum anymore until I've actually worn it for a day. That being said when I get a recommendation from someone I trust I make the trip to the parfum counter......your recommendations have been spot on!!!💥

I ended up buying this after Saks sent me a 20% off my cart (thanks for that tip) and love it. I only wish it would’ve came out earlier in the summer. I live in orlando so at least it will be warm enough to enjoy. This is what I wanted LDBS to be. It projects on me a lot and lasts for about 4-5 hours. I happen to love the bottle, it says there is nothing “soft” about it 🔥🔥🔥

People are comparing this to LDBS, but it seems that those who don’t like LDBS actually like Oriana (such as myself). I preordered from Nordstrom and should get it next Saturday. I would love a PDM ranking.
I love Oriana I think it’s really good. The first time I smelled it I didn’t care for it and thought it smelled like a new Barbie out the box…that toy smell..but I went back and tried it again it’s the dry down that’s beautiful! I had to have the bottle! Pink is my favorite color.

Loved your review.. The only thing keeping this from a "love" for me is the longevity. After 3 to 4 hours it goes to a soft, skin scent. Was racking my brain as to what was on my collection that smells similar. My Prada Candy Kiss is very similar to Oriana once it dries down. Very similar vibe. The Prada is a poor performer however. I think this scent could be workplace appropriate because it is quite soft, and I would categorize as daytime and Spring/Summer. It would be wonderful if PDM came up with something to layer it with for added depth for nighttime and Fall/Winter. Sort of like Kayali does.
Hi Erin! Pls do a Parfums de Marly roundup. I’m so intrigued by these. I’m not a fragrance person and prefer not to wear it, actually. 😱. But I was sprayed with Delina Exclusif one day at Nordstrom and I fell hard for the fragrance. And then I tried Delina and loved it too! Go figure! ☺️🙏💗
I happen to love Love, Don't Be Shy🙈😄. It's my top 3 perfumes. Its pretty, loud and everlasting and that's wicked for me. I just purchased Si Fiori because I heard it was a calmer, office-friendly alternative to Love🤷🏾♀️ we'll see. Hopefully I can test this in Canada.

I bought it today in Thailand. It's a new brand here. The price is 9,400 Baht (approximately 285 USD), quite expensive for me. The scent is beautiful, elegant, yummy. I love it.

I finally picked up a tester of Oriana and I’m so happy!! It’s absolutely devine. I’ll be taking it out for a test drive tomorrow. So far, I’m so impressed that I’ll be buying a full bottle this week.

Oriana is my current favorite. I do love Love Don't be Shy, but Oriana beats it.

How would you rate Oriana from 1-10 vs Love by Kilian? I don't like LDBS myself but I had to blind buy this for some reason. Haven't opened it yet though!
Everyone, PDM is NOT SAFE FOR BLIND BUYS. Pay whatever you need to for samples of the range. But do not buy a full bottle blind. I love Delina, hate the rest of the women’s range. Oriana is pleasant and the bottle is to die for. But I mix it with a marshmallow musk perfume oil for an extra kick. I should not have to mix a $300 perfume with an $8 oil to get a kick. You simply do not get what you pay for.
This sounds sooo yummy and I love the color of the bottle 💖 If only I could afford a $320 perfume… 😅

Get on Saks mailing list and watch for the friends and family event. Took it down to $270. Still pricey but quite a discount.
I dislike Neroli as well, so I would most definitely dislike Love don’t be shy! I have my Oriana on the way, can’t wait to get it! 😍😍 I’m very excited that you like it, I noticed there are many fragrances that we both like, so I’m confident about this one!
I love neroli but hated love don’t be shy lol there was just something about it I didn’t like but can’t put my finger on it.
@@lmpnw2836 Oh, that’s interesting! So maybe it’s not the neroli in it that’s displeasing to some? I also disliked Good Girl Gone Bad, so honestly I’m not very keen on trying any more Kilian fragrances.

Hi Erin, can you please review the newest release from Merchant of Venice, Flamant Rose? The bottle and packaging are better than this Oriana. The box is really really really beautiful. I want to buy it but couldn't find a sample yet.
I am glad you like it! The dry down is beautiful and addictive however I can not get passed of the bathroom cleaner smell in the opening. Also the performance is very poor, this sits very close to the skin. I prefer LDBS and Reckless over this. I returned mine.
I just smelled Reckless again this morning and I definitely sense a similarity! I love the citrus in the beginning but you're right, it sits very close to the skin as it dries down :) xx

agree!! it smells exactly like the hand soap and most gas stations/shopping mall bathrooms and i just cannot get past it!
My local Selfridges did not have it when I was there, hopefully they will when I go in latter this week. I want to test it before I blind buy this, it sounds so good. I like LDS. But I have not added it to my collection, it’s a like not a love.

Unfortunately I don’t get any grapefruit or citrus. Glad you love it. I wanted to. It’s nice but smells like LDBS with a drop of raspberry to me.

I received my oriana perfume last week it smells beautiful but it only lasts 1:30 hours and they do not make returns or exchanges in marly .
Killian LDBS is a hardddddd pass for me. I returned it after a blind buy on a lot of recommendations. I’m intrigued by the PdM fragrances but I’ll skipping Oriana lol.
I bought Don't love be shy and i was sooooo sad and worry because i really hated it. Ok, it's sweet but i can't with the "sugar flowers", i had have to try different kinds, hours, clothes but definitely i hate it. I ordered Oriana and i thinked "omg" i hope will be different but in the case that really being the same, i'll cry so much :')

Smells like fruity pebbles to me. I was surprised I wasn’t a fan, I was excited for it. I read that it smells like Montale Pink Ecstasy and that might be a better option for a better projection.
lol Fruity pebbles! It's been way too long since I've had them I don't remember the smell. I'm not familiar with Pink Ecstasy but in general Montale perfumes are always so intense, I'll have to check it out! xx

Dry down of oriana smells like sweet lipstick rose
Came here after getting this and only smelling straight up cheap powdered dish soap, even in the dry down. I guess I’m not smelling what everyone else is. 💔

It smells like florals and dryer sheets. The marshmallow note is the best part to me. It definitely isn't worth $320.
I love all parfum de Marly fragrances. However, I can't smell ORIANA on my skin.
I’m so glad I ordered samples of all the PDM’s before buying. Waiting on Oriana, Athalia, and Darcy.
I bought Delina blind and adore it. On me it’s deep, sweet, musky, and long lasting. So I blind bought Cassili. Cassili to my nose is VILE. Bug spray, bleach, and rotting fruit. Made me so sick. I know others swear by it so I’ll assume it just works with their skin. So disappointed as now I have to sell it. Praying Oriana and Darcy work for me because I NEED those bottles on my makeup table!!
