    I can't believe he's gone. I'm sad.... A man who cared so much about his patients, people & the planet. May you rest in peace & may your teaching continue to touch lives, change life. Going plant base was hard at first but when I stumbled over your videos & read the Starch solution, it made my life easier. Adding starch meant my kids were going to enjoy the food more, me too. I love starchy food, légumes & veggies & will co continue eating this way forever. ♥️

      You need ANIMAL fat to be healthy. Plant oils are atherogenic. Vegan diet is a starvation fasting. That’s why you can reverse blood markers in as little as 3 weeks. When you cut out the animal foods, the insulin receptors in the body shut down. That’s not a good thing. We need animal foods to be healthy.

      @@danpan001 I have my won BP monitor. I like my BP best at 110/55 and pulse at 55 beats per minute (for me that is ideal). I avoid processed food (I turned 80 two days ago and I do want to keep living). But I only do what is necessary. I had infectious Motor Neuron and took three years to recover from that. For me the best diet (if I need the best) is raw fresh fruit. Mono. Say: ten bananas for breakfast. Twelve pears for lunch or morning tea ... and so on. It all depends of how healthy you are what steps you have to do. Now, as I am very old I notice 'stres' is also a factor..

    This diet saved my life. It's so easy, so filling. I make sure to get enough calories, it can be easy to eat at a deficit without knowing when you're eating food from the earth. First time in my life I've been making sure I'm eating enough, instead of worrying I'm eating too much. Feel so much more energetic relying on carbs instead of fat for energy, and my skin has cleared up in a matter of weeks.

      Apologies, but, I'm afraid I don't think she looks "wonderful."
      She looks painfully thin, by any standards.
      This isn't about saying something that's "nice" but saying it how you see it?
      These forums are about people voicing their honest opinions and for me, there's nothing about the way she looks and appears, that screams "health" to me ;O(
      That doesn't make me a "hater" it means that I'm less than tempted to try this, if one ends up looking like her, or her hubby ;O(
      I would also comment that none of this food looks particularly appetizing/appealing to me, having tried all sorts of delicious veggie/macrobiotic and regular food and that the bottles of spicy/hot sauces seem to be ever present in order to compensate for its blandness?

    • @contrarian604
      @contrarian604 Год назад +2

      I think you're making a big mistake. She is advocating a carb-centric diet, centered around carbohydrate. Starch breaks down to glucose, and causes insulin to spike. Insulin signals your body to store fat, and glucose is mandatory for the growth of cancer cells. Advocating a 70-90% CHO intake is absolutely insane, and will drive diabetes and metabolic illness.
      Fruit is mostly fructose, a direct toxin to the liver, as like liver, it can not be processed anywhere else. Fructose drives insulin secretion at the pancreas, and insulin drives storage of fat, and blocks fat breakdown in adipose tissue. Man has a GI system designed to digest animal products, we should not be eating 70-90% of our meals as starch. Even the slow-to-act American Diabetes Assn advocates filling no more than 1/4 of your plate as carbohydrate. CHO breaks down to glucose, pure and simple. I have no issues with veggies, but no thanks on the excess focus on carbs and fruit.
      If you don't like animal products, then just eat eggs. Carbs (from starches, fruit and beer) are the long-term drivers of inflammation and cancer cell growth.

    Mary is delightful. She is just perfect. She is by far the best personality I have seen in the whole food world. This video is great to share with your friends who are interested in changing to a starch based way of eating.

    I'm a big fan of a plant-based diet, currently reading The McDougall Plan. In this video I found a bunch of great tips! On the other hand, I don't support all those instant foods proposed here. Buy a basic, primary things and cook it. No need to "save time and energy" - you are what you eat and you need to know exactly what you are eating. Cook it yourself :)

    I'm in love with this couple's philosophy and they are so nailing what I think: dont complicate stuff, just eat you potatos or whatever with something that does not contain animals or oil fats....what a relief it is to see the simplicity on the plate, because anybody can do it. And i like the fact the buy stuff sometimes since well sometimes i really dont feel like cooking all from scratch😍😍😍 love them
