I wore these boots for ruck march 24 Km and continued to mountain hiking, as an Army these shoes are great for me, I had no blister at all. The stability was great, heel counter locked. The only issue is the glue at the tongue is not strong enough after used on wet terrain

I bought and wore these boots after two months into the police academy, originally coming in with Bates. The boot's BIGGEST pro is how god damn light it is. It's like wearing sneakers. It was the BEST boot I could buy at the time for comfort and it was still polishable since they required shined shoes at the Academy. The biggest crime they ever did to this boot was not make a side zipper version. It is absolutely annoying to put on every morning to go to work. It takes up time and sometimes you get frustrated because it's like putting on a sock rather than a shoe. Then you have to wrap the remaining lace around the top of the shoe prolonging the time it takes to put on. Ankle support isn't too great as the material is very flexible and the existing insole is not great either, but that can be fixed by inserting another insole. I put in a Asics GT 2000 insole and it completely transformed the level comfort and mobility into that of a high end running shoe. It has been about a year + and the boots still look they way they did when I first bought them. No rips or tears. They have meticulously balanced the level of tough and comfort with this shoe by giving it a little bit of everything. It is extremely lightweight compared to other boots and made the Academy a cake walk as far as your feet go. It is definitely an excellent pair to own because it's one of a kind in its own right considering there Are better boots, but none so far have been this light. I'm currently looking for a side zip boot with the same lightness.

I own a version of these boots and the pressure point near the ankle did go away for me in a few days after I put some shoe grease on that area. It was very uncomfortable before the pressure went away. Keep up the good work!

I was riding my bike a couple of weeks ago and came across with a rattle snake. Would you consider these will kind of protect from a snake bite ? Or would you suggest something to protect from snakes? Grass is so high now , you can barely see where you're riding the bike

Oooh, mate... Not even close. A full grown snake will make short work of shoes like these. You'll need a lot thicker leather than that! 😮😮

Definitely not. A rattlesnake can pierce thick leather boots and are dangerous to be around. Snake boots would be what you are looking for.

Not particularly! The shiniest ones are from Bates in my experience!

What’s the difference with these and the Oakley light assault boot?

Assault are qualified for military, patrol is the law enforcement one. Lighter and made with synthetic materials

Haven't had a chance to review Field Assault model yet, but by the looks I think it might be better suited for LE, definitely more applicable outsole. I would expect LT model to be lighter, compared to Field Assault with 1000D cordura. LT version doesn't mention cordura, so I would expect they used something else to save weight. Cordura is rugged, will last longer and provide better protection. Hopefully this helps!
