here are some apex predator patterns i noticed. he will always use glory war (insta kill eye attack) on the northern warship, and use a triple or quad eye shot to kill the east one. he will eventually kill the western one but i usually sell it quite early. once he takes the first 2 straight lines, he seems to be in range to attack the southern warship, and will kill it quickly. it also seems like the hunters he spawns can snipe the southern warship from anywhere. also mk1 combat will target battleships first. (edit and minor correction: the 2 golden erads have 2 different themes. mk4's is called "Au Inferno" and 01c's is called "Au Mancubosis")
This is a good placement choice as you can quickly sell warships to save them in endless. However, in solos it is best to get the full 32 warships if possible as you will usually always have an excess amount of cash assuming you are using xwms as your main ground support. In addition, the few bosses that target warships only target the top left corner of the map on oil rig (look at the spawn area for zombies and look left). The only exception being apex, which only targets the 4 warships closest to oil. So its not too hard to constantly monotor those warships and sell them in time.
I don't know what you mean by "pattern you use to place/upgrade warships," so here's a few tips. I show how I placed warship in the video, the arrangement of them. Use top path farms and make sure they all make the maximum amount of money they can. Also make sure to check on farms every once in a while, especially after boss waves. Don't forget to sell farms for bosses like apex predator and replace them after the wave is over. Save up at least 20 million. Before I'd say at least 10 million, but due to the new waves added, you'll need much more money. Once you've reached this amount, you may sell your farms. Use warship ability when needed to reveal stealth enemies. Get almost all bottom path warships. If you think I killed bosses fast in that footage, that was before warship was buffed. Now it does 1.5x damage on bottom path, allowing you to kill bosses even faster than that.

If you use 0 to 3 cash crates, get bottom path farms, then get top path farms with two 2-5 golden juggernauts in the middle around wave 35-40. Then go straight for 2 bottom path warships, upgrading each 1 by 1 instead of getting two 2-4 warships. Set the warships on first. If you are able to, also get top path warships. On waves 35 and 40, change the 5-2 warship(s) from random to first for the avatars. Once the avatars have been defeated, set the 5-2 warship(s) back to random.
Calamity's attacks are different from most. At the beginning, it'll summon all it's minions and then do a stomp. This stomp destroys some of the ground towers. When calamity gets to 1 million health, it will should and destroy 25% of the towers, including warships. While this is unavoidable (Unless you use a nuke or something to instantly kill calamity, bypassing this phase), you can make it so less towers of value are destroyed. Let's say you're doing a game with 4 people, and you only have 26 towers. On the wave of calamity, you could get some 0-0 towers (For example 10 level 0-0 golden rangers), and when calamity stomps or gets to 1 million hp, it's likely some of those base level towers will get destroyed instead of a tower worth a lot of value, like warship or golden juggernaut. Or here's what the wiki says: "Cataclysmic Wrath: At 1,000,000 HP, Calamity screeches, increasing its speed, stunning every Tower, and randomly killing 25% of all placed towers (except XWM Turrets still with repairs)."
I recommend first. For certain waves, you could set them to strongest if it benefits you, but that would be up to your judgement. The reason I keep mine on first is because most enemies have more than 15k health in endless.
Top path functions like 17 buffed artilleries, doing great splash damage, but no stealth detection. Bottom path acts like a railgunner with splash damage, doing 10k damage to a 4 stud radius. Whiles these paths are quite different, in general bottom path is better since you don't always need top path, but you very much need bottom path.
That's cool and all but there's already several videos covering this topic man, you could've helped newbies understand the warship and how to use it rather than the overly complex placement in a gamemode that like 90% of viewers haven't beaten
No other videos I could find. 100% of my viewers haven't beaten endless, because you literally can't lol. Also what else do you expect me to do? There isn't much else to warship in the other gamemodes. It pretty much only gets complicated in endless due to the bosses being able to destroy warships.
@@The-0verseerI'm pretty sure RogueOrdinary and several others have covered this topic and some extra (like how to fit two warships in one spot before the bug got fixed), and don't get too technical here, you either beat endless by getting all badges or by beating 171, there's a natural end to endless for a reason...the point is that 90% of viewers aren't likely to even pass 100 to effectively require maximum and effective warship placement to counter the 100+ spam and erad mk 4 spam, this is just another cake recipe thrown in the mix of many cake recipes

My video discusses how to micro warship for bosses and also which paths to get. The whole point of my video is to be detailed so players can do well with warship. Yeah. Bosses will always target top path warships. If you get more than 20, the 8 others will have to be top path. Bosses will target those, and those warships become hard to micro. If you don't micro them, you go broke. I fill up the rest of the map with warships on wave 200, but anything before, and they'll get destroyed easily.
@@miku_vn6360 2 top path warships equal about 1 bottom path warship. That barely does more DPS while costing more. It's much better to get 20 bottom path warships, and 4 top paths. Your setup does 51929.2 DPS while mine does 56898.4.
Personally I recommend getting 20 warships, most bottom path. Sure top path has good splash, but more often you need bottom path. Also, when you get more warships like that, bosses will target them, and you'd have to micro them. Along with having few farms, you'd run out of money fast. It would be a fair idea to do this on waves like 171 though.

You can get like 32 warships but its not really that useful because when all of the warships on the very back die it will take a while to replace them
