idk why im writing this but in case there's someone out there who had a similar experience to me:
this guy in hs liked me and practically showed how much he liked me, confessed to me twice and asked me out. but i was really insecure back then. i really thought that a person would have to be crazy to actually like me. i blew him off everytime. i acted like i didn't like him. he said i broke his heart. i didn't mean to, im just a nervous wreck. one time when i readied myself i actually made the first move. he said that he didn't like me anymore. lol i felt a pang in my heart. but like when he said it idk it didn't feel sincere. but who am i to conclude that? i must've blew him off so bad that time that the following year after summer break he asked if i remembered him lol. in the following years, he still kept talking to me in random occasions, asking about class work or just saying hi in class. fast forward to senior year where i had to move schools. he asked where i was going and that was our last interaction. saw him twice from a distance in university but that was it. he's been in a relationship since junior year.
Why does love hurt this much? I'm trying to move on I can't live like this, I feel like I'm loosing my breath. The one I love broke up with me I have to learn how to live without him

Falling out of love with you was the most confusing thing, even if it was after you broke me and tore me apart. I always still felt like you were the one for me. Until waking up and you not being the first thought that came to mind.But the moments that you drift into my head, even till this day, months after realizing that you were never the one for me. Are moments I can't describe to myself knowing that you were once the person I'd jump in front of a bullet for. Strange things, my feelings for you. As though I'm looking at a person I'd loved in another lifetime. As though my love now lays at the bottom of a rippling pool and I peer into it, never really feeling it anymore, with the distance. But there are particular days, where the waves are the slightest bit too turbulent and I'l be a little too close to the water. It's those day's when it hits me again.
