    You need to recheck your "heresy" theory regarding the Templars; the Templars kept mysterious ways about themselves and strove to connect themselves spiritually and holistically to a period of time at first thought to be Jesus, but much of there ceremony, tied to duality (equality) goes back much further. The Catholic Church in support of the King of France in 1300's used the term "heresy" because of the Templars mysterious methods of recruitment, training, fanaticism, and other secrets to include their wealth (the King of France was broke and it just happened at the time that the Pope was French). The Templars who had different arms (Hospitiliars, Knights of Malta, Teutonic Knights, etc.) that "disappeared" with all the wealth they amassed. One arm went to Switzerland and trained the locals to fight and they kicked the armies of Europe that ever went there. Some became pirates (pirating against the French and Spanish who tried to kill off the Templars), some went to Scotland, many went to Portugal.

    Sheelanagigs are found on cathedrals and churches,all over Europe but especially in Britain and Ireland. Also, the Templars were known to incorporate pagan iconography into their rituals. While your point is well taken about there being many tales and legends about the Templars that are just that, legend, such as worshiping Baphomet and the severed head of John The Baptist are unproven there are plenty of Templar sites with pagan carvings.

    • @djquinn11

    • @aburdett85
      @aburdett85 4 года назад

      @John Barber the point is this video gives grossly false information and touts it as absolute fact. RUclips channels that frequently mention how modern academia is constantly downplaying or flat out ignoring significant finds should not be making matters worse by capitalizing on the false sentiments that modern academy would have us believe. The hypocrasy runs deep here...

    Not surprising is it? We all know that every question we answer only raises two more. What that translates to is that we are becoming ever more aware of the vast amount we don't know. That's just the stuff we know that we don't know about but we also know that we don't know about a lot but we don't know what that is. Scientists think their so clever because they don't think about how stupid they are is my opinion.

      Im so interested in the Emerald Tablets and I believe that they are real and I'll tell You why.
      About 5 years ago I was curious about the Free Masons So I went to a lodge to enquire. I got to meet the guys at My city lodge but I didn't end up joining.
      Anyway I was emailed some information and Book from the a classic Masonic author named Manly P hall but I forgotten the Tittle. I read it and when I got to page 33, Boom there it was! The heading on the page was The Emerald Tablets of Thoth. The Masons know stuff.
      When I brought up the Emerad Tablets to the high ranking Knight Templar Guy, His eyes lit up, He smiled and mentioned to a few other members "He likes the Emerald Tablets Guy's". They all knew what they were.

    • @Valkyrie_71
      @Valkyrie_71 4 года назад +3

      Nick Tombs I agree. I truely believe he was real historical person, but it is extremely convoluted. The name "Robin Hood" was just a nickname taken on by many who wanted the fame and mystery associated with it. The real history of roadside thrives and murderers, who called themselves by that name, is much more terrifying than the romantic tales told today. However, the real man may have been a knight or noble known as Robert (Robin is a derivative) of Loxley. My family actually has the last name of Loxley, and we have traced it back as far as the late 1400s in Huntingdonshire, Eng.. The same area where the grave beside the church is. There is still a huge time gap of about 300 years to the time of King John, and Richard the Lionheart, when the so called "Robin of the Hood" may have lived, and much time and money would have to be invested to go further, but it's pretty exciting to fantasize about having a connection :)

People lived together with big Families in round houses like the nomads of old days did, and the prisoners were cornered.
    But they had a simple roofing that protected against the heat, with perhaps a roof like in Hans and Gretle with veggies and other stuff, and once inside, they put you in the oven and made you fat before the feast.

    Your pronunciation of English and Scottish place names is faulty; please, please do some research, on the correct pronunciation before uttering them.

      Bill Elliott I'm glad in all of your video productions, your pronunciations are always spot on. Do we really have to find flaw with such trivial items such as these? Why can't people just enjoy the videos, that have no doubt, many hours of time and effort put into them for the purpose of our enjoyment. Is criticism that much easier than just overlooking some minor flaw and moving on?
