My affiliate declined both _The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show_ and _Jungle Cubs_ in the 1997-98 broadcast season. We had _Bill Nye the Science Guy_ and _WCW Worldwide_ instead.
This was a turning point to Saturday Mornings, with the all new E/I rule officially in effect. A successful block that had hosting segments, gags, shorts along that were great 👍 along with old stuff (Winnie the Pooh, Doug, The Bugs 🐜 Bunny and Tweety Show) and new products (Recess, Science Court, Pepper Ann, 101 🐶, Jungle Cubs).
Avery Merrick That is true, although Fox Kids would still have some action cartoons (since they had reruns of Bobby's World and Life With Louie airing on weekdays as their E/I shows) and CBS was on the final years of their in-house Saturday Morning block).
I'm kind of disappointed that at the end they didn't do a recap like with all the other preview specials. I would imagine it would go a little something like this! Jim Cummings: Get ready because ABC's the new place to be! Introducing Disney's One Saturday Morning! Cruella DeVille: I *LOVE* IT! Cummings: Start things off with Disney's all new series "101 Dalmatians"! Lucky: We can do it! Cummings: Then go inside Disney's One Saturday Morning with all new episodes of "Brand Spanking New Doug"... Doug: That's me! Cummings: And the new shows "Recess"... TJ: I'm going in! Cummings: And "Pepper Ann"! Pepper Ann: This rocks! Cummings: Along with "Great Minds Think For Themselves", "Nut Cases", "The Monkey Boys", "Mrs Munger's Class", "Manny the Uncanny" and much more surprises! Bugs Bunny: Well, here I am! Cummings: Followed by "The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show"... Sylvester: Sufferin' Succotash! Cummings: "Jungle Cubs", "Winnie the Pooh"... Pooh: Oh bother! Cummings: And the all new "Science Court" where science is the law and scientific thinking rules! Ben Jetters: The whole courtroom is a buzz! Stenographer Fred: There's bees?! Jetters: No, there's excitement! Cummings: All packed into 5 great hours! So hang out at the coolest place you can go without a ride from your parents! Nicky and Milo: Excellent! Cummings: It's Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC!

*FINALLY!* The preview of One Saturday Morning's inaugural season!
but this is in poor quality.
19:01 Notice how Pepper Ann still acts happy compared to Nicky and Milo, that was later changed in the final cut.
I used to wake up early and love singing the theme song :)
it's a good theme.
You gotta sing it at the top of your lungs so that the 'rents can hear you.

"Nut Cases"? I don't think that ever actually happened. At least, not that I can remember...
