As a local, annoyingly everything is orientated for and toward the university. Travel for Students is easy and there is an abundance for it. The events on Wind St during term time, are also orientated toward you and even though Swansea has many major failings, the night life is one of the best. The city itself is well, non existent these days, it's pretty basic. If you drive though, Gower is a must, also buses to Mumbles (overrated) are easy enough, or you can easily walk. The University from what I know is a good uni (I attended elsewhere, having lived In Swansea, I wasn't staying :p). It's a decent uni city, but the univeristy itself is better, it is consistently high in Uni rankings and has major funding and investment.

I was doing my alevels last year and looked around and they've built way more,the uni is improving and has a hella lot of funding

I'd recommend Royal Holloway for econ even though I didn't apply there cause it used to be Russell group and its super highly respected, the offers are higher than the others I think but sometimes they let u in if you miss a grade or two like my friend did
