- I changed up my Shabbat routine this week and ordered some new foods to try! At the end of the day, I wasn't a big fan (😅), but it was a lot of fun trying something new. 🙃 I'm still determined to find a kugel I like...lmk if you have any recommendations in JLM!
p.s. I've missed you guys! Sorry I haven't been responding much and barely posting but I'm starting to in and will hopefully be a little less busy soon. ❤️ - Meorah
Glad to see you're okay. You're a strong soul. Looking forward to more of your videos.
Happy Monday Meorah! I hope you are feeling better by now, missed your uploads loads💛💫
Yay, I love your videos! Seeing a new one always makes me happy. So glad you’re on your way to being settled and well. Hope you’re feeling better!
Hi Meorah, I'm so happy to see you back here and to get to see a new video. I wish you a full and speedy recovery and will be remembering you in my Shacharit
Oops, wasn't finished. I'll pray you feel better soon. Thank you for sharing about your Shabbos and all the yummy foods!
Happy Aliyah-versary!!! So glad to hear you're settling in and feeling more comfortable, and mazel tov on (almost) signing your first lease!!! I can't wait to see it and how you make it *yours*. Your food looked amazing! I hope you were able to enjoy it and are feeling better now! לבריאות!
Big fan of LINK too, learned about them from following Shin Dong-Hyuk's story, one of the first people to introduce me to the concept of G-d
you have such a sweet spirit. shavuah tov and much mazal on your new home!
Your very inspiring and uplifting, a very determined and sincere person, the Moroccan Jews call the chulent Sechena , the food of the Moroccan Jews is different from other Middle Eastern countries, Matbucha can be made hot or sweet side , olives are not put into matbucha, in general Moroccans eat a lot of salads, now let’s talk about the Moroccan fish, so there are many fishes that can be used, the two ways my mom and siblings make it either with carrots or olives (manzillo) NO CHICKPEAS when you use olives you need to rinse them very well to remove the brine soak them. As Chanukah is around the corner the Moroccan Jews make Sfenj I like then unsprinkled, My sister makes this pickled salmon delicious which she serves in the daytime meal, not heating involved
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Shabbat prep routine! It really filled my heart with joy and peace. Also, when you move into your apartment, make sure not to show the window view in your video, because that will let people know your location. Safety measures for precious treasures (of Hashem)! B"H
I don't care for anything sweet either and more importantly, have to watch/count carbs I think there are probably some good no sugar recipes online. If I find (or figure out and make) a good kugel that's not sweet, i’ll pass it on. If I remember correctly my grandmother used to make a really good kugel that wasn’t sweet so maybe I’ll try to see if I can find a family member that still has that recipe.
Sorry you're sick. Hope you feel better. You should do a video when your family visits you.
It’s so interesting that you called it vegetarian chulent, I just think of it as parev! Not sure if it’s the same in Isreal but in my community many places that sell meat chulent sell a parev option alongside fo the people who don’t want to become fleishig
😆 ah, you’re right! That makes sense. I don’t have that issue so I don’t even think about pareve so much-except when I was following a vegan diet for a few months.
Sellotape does not hold well. Try disconnecting the bulb.
Ru less observant now regarding tznuit? Notice the lax in what you’re wearing .. rather the orthodox tznuit way you’ve dressed in videos before
In another hand I’m glad you can back to Israel .. your light is needed there !
Do yoh nean tzniut? צניעות
❤❤❤
You actually look great without make up too
Thanks! 🥰
Thanks! 🥰

your not going to find much vegetarian options that are all that good in the Jewish world.
kasha vanishkas - bow ties with barley and cabbage.
potatoe kugel
chick peas
malawach
charif
syrian cheese
zaatar bread
breakaway egg challah
falafel balls
laffa bread
israeli salad
knish
shliskas
latkas
sour kraut
pickels
bagels
lox
pickled herring
orzo
stuffed grape leaves
kishka. that's the orange stuff in your chulent.
on the more exotic side of the spectrum, there are meat dishes.
some of my personal favorites are stuffed cabbage, yemenite soup with jachanun, lachamagin, shwarma, schnitzel, deli roll and of course - chicken soup.
Great list! I think I’ve tried everything you mentioned except Syrian cheese and shlishkes (which after Googling I think I’d really like). Also pickled herring but I’m not really jumping to try it lol.
I don't know if anyone answered you about polenta, but it's like a porridge made from ground corn. It's quite tasty!
