Actually Epiphyllum set buds from cool temperatures !!! 40°F to 60° F for 6 to 8 weeks & the soil should be dry to touch before watering again , Water with 1 teaspoon of Epsom Salt to 1 gallon of water ( NO Fertilizer until buds are visible), the Epsom Salt solution aids in budding.
the most important things: cuctus potting mix is not acceptable, it loves humus rich potting mix, wich drys quickly, but content some moisture. It doesn't like to stay dry for long and will flower if the air is humid.
I have two pots of what I THINK are epiphyllum...but the leaves are growing weird. I literally had leaves in the bottom of a box that I had no clue what they were. It was in a box with a plant I had ordered and literally seemed like plant trash lol. I potted up the mysteries and 3yr later I don’t have much growth that is recognizable. One of them people thought was Easter cactus but this years growth has taken the leaves too big for that. They had been so tiny....segmented like a rhipsalis but looked more Easter cactus.....it now has a tear drop shaped leaf and I’m thinking it’s one of the broad leaf rhips....(which would be wild because I collect those and if this is one....it will have been my first...unknowingly lol). The other is def an epi of some kind but I think it’s not happy? How much sun? How little? What encourages growth with these??
Hi, very pretty, mine have been attacked by nasty snails...and they don't look as great, but the ones I have in my balcony are doing great, without snails arround them. In my balcony I have Epiphyllym oxypetalum and also Epiphyllum pumilum, both fragrant or very fragrant. ^_^
Haley Crosby They are tender plants. If you live in USDA zone 10 or higher then you can grow them outside. Otherwise you need to put them inside over the winter. They grow very well indoor though.
She said that this ephypilum need at least the light for phalaenopsis orchid or even more than it, but indirect light. You can measure it with application from your smartphone (lightmeter) choose one which you like
Very informative young lady, keep on doing what you are doing.

Hi amazing girl. What is your growing cycle for the Epiphyllum. Best wishes from Bo.
You might have disocactus Ackermannii, which looks similar to mine.

Bonjour .vous êtes ou.? En France ?
Actually they need longer than 8 hrs of dark (meaning no light in the room at night) in the fall in order to trigger the bloom.
Dean are you growing indoors or outdoors? Asking for me. I just got one and am trying to figure out the best growing conditions! Thank you 🙏🏻
