No wonder she's so busy, especially with Midnight Grand Orchestra's second mini-album, 『Starpeggio』, will be released December 13, 2023 too. By the way, did you know that the MV for one of the song, Midnight Mission, will be released today on October 25, at 19:00 JST? Boy, I sure wouldn't want to missed it!

Suisei mentioned on one stream that she basically don't have days off, it's really incredible how she can still have time and disposition to stream as much she does having one of the most packed workload in Hololive.

People kinda underestimate how to prep for a “speaking event”. I spent like 14 hours for my 30 mins speaking alone lol. Some of the jokes are scripted and you have to act funny (well you still find them funny to put in) and you have to consider what is the limit, what is the proper amount etc
And I consider that a low effort 30 mins. Every stream of these girls, the set up, the prep, the arts they used make take a lot of time from different people to make it what it is. The amount of thoughts behind the scenes too.

@@DinnerForkTongue Have you noticed that Sui-chan never burns out? She manages everything quite well. Every now and then some Holomem would say "I am a little bit tired/sick/exhausted/throat problem", but you never see it in Sui-chan. Incredible.

@@DD_Quack That's why I said that. She doesn't seem to be just bulldozing through life as a vtuber, burning the candle twice as bright but half as long. Her MO seems to be pretty sustainable.
I'm just hoping it keeps being sustainable. I don't take good things for granted, including our lovely Suisei.

Near the end of 2022, Mio told us that she was thinking of doing a sololive, but when she asked management, the soonest they can do it is in 2024, so you can imagine how far ahead their schedules are, not just for holomems but for the staff, studio & relevant venues too.

It's not necessarily that they constantly grinding for a project 24/7 on it for half a year but more that they have to plan early since some stuff can just take really a lot of time (e.g. booking something or waiting for permission which can take really long depending on what) to be realized. So at the starting stage of the project it can still be somewhat chill since just thinking and talking about ideas first on what to actually do can already take some weeks though the closer you get to D-day the busier it usually gets not accounting unexpected stuff that can also happen along the way.

Maybe I'm tripping, but I feel like she mentioned at least initiating the prep in some capacity as early as the end of last year (I was just getting into Hololive at the time, so the memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think she had to really rush a lot of things for some events that winter, which prompted that response?)

Oshi no Ko have something to tell us about this too: Entertainers have to train and rehearse for hours each day, and some of them have other schedules to manage.
Managers are usually the go to man/woman to arrange the schedule for them, so I'm personally thankful for hololive managers..

  • @dbull620

That was a fun snapshot of some of the behind-the-scenes work she puts in. It seems like she's in a state where her days are so busy all the time that she doesn't even have time to think about how busy she really is so she doesn't even notice it. She's talked before about how if she wants a day off she has to plan it out like 2 months in advance or something, it really is crazy to think about.

From her list of descriptions, the Holopros are their own artistic designers and managers. That is a good thing, gives each talent a clear sense of identity.
As long as they work to live and not live to work, it's a nice system. Although some talents could use some advice on not trying to do too many things too intrincately at once and overextend straight into breakdown territory.

...this applies to other holomems in one way or another. Suisei is just the extreme spectrum because she has a lot of things on her plate, and she's been prepared for it even before her indie days.
For the English side, Bae, Kaela, Biboo, Kiara and Calli had warned their fans that once their 3D models get debuted, the amount of "homework" will start to pickup. So streaming will be the least priority.
Enjoy your oshi everytime she streams, you won't know when the next she'll have the energy to do it again.

OMG this seems all turned upside down, now streaming becoming the least frequent; I thought it was only Sui-chan but now, if you say it also will be for others, I wonder where we are going... well, Cover has a board which is worrying about profit and all. What can we do.

@@Frank22lol I mean, it might also be due to viewing work as an obligation and only obligation. Work that in no small part is something that they specifically wanted to do is not so different from what some people who remain very active on their off time do in terms of being exciting, rewarding and, during times when things get rough, something they are often only pressured to do by themselves alone (well, except projects made public, due to fan expectations)
Of course there's a lot of routine and various upkeep tasks too, but the more boring and repetivive the task, the easier it is to automate and "manage away" to a point of not bothering you, and they certainly have the level of professionalism to do just that.

And people had the audacity to say things like "oh NOW you care because they're about to retire". Everyone is busy. Their schedule is not sleep-eat-stream every day. Sure, some streamers might do that, but when it comes to company streamers, they also have things like company activities like meetings. And of course, they also need to balance their activities so that they don't get burnt out too quickly as well.
