What a wonderful fall Harvest video Amy, thank you!
Personally I had abandoned growing pumpkins and put my efforts into growing watermelon and spaghetti squash. I can do many things with watermelon such as a variety of refreshing drinks and the spaghetti squash is my healthy substitute for pasta.
I see you place your potting bags in a tray of water. With my bell peppers I’ve discovered that the soil in these bags, when kept in a tray of water, keeps the bottom half of the soil too most. This impedes the growth of the pepper plants. Once I eliminated the water tray my peppers took off.
Once again thank you I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

It's purity to my mind. No artificial things, just real life. The melody of the birds makes me happy.
All we need is to be healthy with a large garden surrounded by our family and friends. Nature is our natural habitat.
Civilisation is an artificial construct that domesticated living things. Never forget that.

Wow Blue, what fascinating garden chronicles. In addition to your beautiful scenes, soothing voice, and animal footage, I loved your time lapses. Thank you for the educational content, too! As an unsuccessful, novice gardener, I love to see success stories, but also learn from what went wrong. I remember the cherry tomato plants in our garden when I was a kid. They were sooo delicious. I hope to be able to grow them sometime. It's always a pleasure of the highest order to see you and your videos. I don't think I can ever fully appreciate the clear, organized mind it takes to put together such masterpieces, but I can sure bask in enjoyment of the results.

@@Bluewhisperly You should try placing some marigolds around your veggies. I plant them in a few rows of my garden and the mammal critters only eat on the plants in the other rows. As it happens, deer love eating entire red okra plants. 😂 Instead of pruning the tomatoes at the end of the rows I just weave them through my garden fence and the deer munch on that too. I had baby bunnies living in my garden and they would only eat the grass I let grow wild. I have rows with wires running along posts and the rows are spaced too close together for a hawk to prey on them without getting hurt by the wires due to their wing span, so the bunnies were safe until they decided to move on a month ago. Anyway, it is fun creating ecosystems!

Months ago a colleague and I had built and programmed a prototype for a small indoor hydroponics system. We used sensors and timers to automate tedious gardening tasks in an attempt to encourage the prospect of home growing herbs. Watching this made me realize putting the work in and performing these tasks yourself can be great for de-stressing and can help you forge a stronger connection with nature. I also believe the amount of work put in is indicative of the amount of flavor -- while I do not have scientific proof of this claim I will say that melon looked pretty tasty.
