Dude you just found the intended purpose of the pedal. It's meant to give you infinite sustain like a sustainiac pickup. Of course it's going to be noisy, every single high gain pedal in the world is noisy, hence the existence of noise gates lmao. I thought this video would've been from like 2007 bc this is such a silly thing to say nowadays. If the pedal does at all what it advertises and doesn't fuck up constantly, I'd say that's a well made piece of gear that can be used for great things.
I don't think it sounds bad at all, but I NEVER use an OD dimed out like that. I'd be curious how it would sound if i used it like i do my screamers: turned most the way down and stacked in front of another drive?
I've got a Rocktron Zombie that I thought I hated. But with the use of Helix I found ways to make it sound amazing. This Sabine thing looks janky as fuckLOL! I'd own that just for the novelty.
I have the Fuzzstortion! It was my first pedal ever. I knew nothing about how to use drive pedals, but I knew I hated it. My parents had to buy me that obnoxious Radioshack wall wart with the interchangeable tips just so I could use it.
There is one on eBay for about $52 shipped. I told a couple of other people in the comments about it. It’s still available as of now. Also if you want a good cheap amp with an AMAZING gain channel and you don’t want to mess with tubes. Find a crate gfx series amp. I got one for $90. It also has a decent clean sound
@@googaboogaloo Best laid plans hey, I just cut my 6mm tremolo arm down, didn't have a tip for it, it's easier and cheaper to buy three 6mm tremolo arms with tips, so that what i had to do but price was ok, £5.
I'm no pro. I bought multifx pedal 2 weeks ago, but even with that little knowledge I know that you shouldn't put compressor after overdrive pedal 😂. Unless you like noises
Yes, compressors bring up the quiet sounds and bring down the loud sounds. The first time I played through a compressor I had no idea what it did and just started turning knobs. I remember cranking the attack knob thinking my tone would somehow be faster. That was not the case lol
Thank you lol it was my pure annoyance with this pedal that made me good. I actually tried this with humbuckers too, a normally use p90s and it still hissed. I think that part of it could have been old capacitors.
@@Marta1Buck the fact that this is recorded on an iPhone shows that this guy must have golden ears to be able to tell my cables are crappy through the phone.
Hope you don't mind a light roasting yourself because you need to record direct. I can't hear how trash you think this thing is over the fret buzz and reverb of the bathroom you where you made the video. You gotta have a Line 6 Spider or a Joyo amerSOUNDican or something. If you need help plugging it into the headphone jack I show you. I help my dad with his phone all the time. Just because it's old enough to drive doesn't mean it can't record video and audio at the same time. (I'm just playing, I enjoyed the video.)
@@onlyusernameleft2 HAHAHAHAHAHA I know I should. I have some of the stuff to do that I just haven’t set it up yet. My basement where I was going to have my stuff set up flooded a while ago and I’m still Leary about putting my stuff down there. Great roast though that made my day.
@googaboogaloo sorry to hear about your basement. I just moved all my equipment to another room because the lines get blown out the side of the house during heavy winds and can barely handle heavy rain. The only available room doesn't have 3 prong outlets so I get that 👍
@ ohhh that sucks. The wind both sucks and blows. The other guitar player in my band had something similar and his basement is where we practice. Fortunately no gear was lost but it took a couple weeks to dry out completely.
Never heard of it but it sounds awful. Hissy and muffled. I thoroughly enjoyed the honest roast of this hunk of rubbish, these aren't even worth trying purely out of curiosity.
Ok I'm with you, this this sucks, but people pay outrageous amounts of money for Harmonic Percolators because they have a slider that turns everything into a noisy microphonic mess that feeds back any time you're not playing, and I also love them unfortunately
It's fine

I am a silly thing so it checks out
You come across as a little unhinged. For that reason, I thought you'd love this unhinged pedal!
Every noise rock guitarist activated when you turned the sustain up
Actually this pedal would be pretty good for noise rock. Especially with the eq it has.
Yes that sustain really raises the noise floor!
I enjoyed the video anyway.

The be honest it’s really quiet. Like even with the volume maxed it’s very quiet
This thing sounds more like Queens of the Stone Age than Queens of the Stone Age
Don’t tell Josh homme. I just traded it for a tubulator lol
As a QOTSA fan I was immediately looking for the Homme sound when I saw this

How is it? I’m actually curious about it and there is no demos of it.
OMG this will be ultimate crust metal machine into some kind of 5150, where i can purchase it?)

Comp. after drive? Deminically inspired.
Yo leave Larry outta this
I said I like Larry. I felt bad after I said it. Larry shouldn’t be catching strays.
@jhspedals make a video on sabine please!
it sounded awesome, but understandable
Hey dude, if it's garbage take it apart, swap some resistors, capacitors, have some fun.
I tried. That was the plan but I could not get the board out. There were no screws holding it in place.

your pickups sound microphonic and possibly "the issue".

Damn I kinda dig it, like Tommy bukovac says there’s no such thing as a bad tone, just a bad context. Killer playing, you actually made it sound good
That is true, but having to have the level maxed for unity gain made me hate this pedal. I like more boost with my overdrives.
Shiiiiit. Let JHS find out 😂
I will say that pedal is ugly as hell
I see miniature of this vid
I dont think an ovrdrv can sound bad
Oh shit it does...
Never heard of this brand before, looks cool, but yeah... it sucks
sounds rad to me
There’s one on eBay for about $52 bucks right now. It’s not mine I traded for a tubulator.
Lol 😂😂 👍
You're using the shittiest cables on the market lol
What are you the cable cops?
Doesn't matter if you don't do recording for a living.

I’ve been thinking about building one of those. I keep people make them on Reddit and it could be a fun project.
