Why did Professor Hunter's glorious description of planting seeds versus pulling weeds sound like poetry...a slice of a spoken word performance!! I'm adopting that mindset. Thank you, Professor Hunter. Continue the work.

I read Viola Davis’s book Finding Me. And the first 100 pages is very traumatic. I had such a visceral reaction to what I was reading. Reading about the trauma was very hard. But when she got success is what made me feel happy. That lady paid her dues. And Kirk’s journey brought him to the success he’s experiencing now.

Whew! Prof Hunter you said a thing about FOCUSING on the seeds... made me realise even those weeds serve a purpose!
"It's your Asé that makes your child seek you when making important life decisions!" ~Dr. Black
You say that sir! I made and make sure my child always knows that she is (W)anted! When i tell you her friends who are complete strangers to me, these young people seek me out! Everyone please make sure that young people in your presence know that they matter and are wanted! Everything in this world just wants to be loved!❣💜❣
"Remember the wound!" But everybody keeps doing whatever we can to run from and forget the pain, which leads to diversion and the vice economy. Remember to heal and to learn and to teach others. 💜💜💜

That's what i needed to hear. I fight weeds too, literally, in my backyard. I'm usually too late to plant seeds to replace them, but have also learned how if you don't do anything different, weeds will do what they will. Such is life. If you don't do anything different- plant the seeds for the harvest you WANT, then you get what took over in the first place. Thank you both for this nugget of wisdom❤

"In order for a healer to heal, you must know the depths and dimensions of pain."THAT'LL PREACH!!! I can shout just off of that. That is some deep wisdom if a person can hear it. Love it! Beautiful Alchemy. Thank you Dr. Black.

This is truly an awesome conversation between Dr Black and Professor Hunter (these two examples of black excellence). so profound, I keep on listening over and over. Everything time I hear Dr Black speak, its like going on a spiritual Journey . The power of the words and his enthusiasm shows his true conviction for helping our people to heal from the trauma we have endured since our ancestors were put into the dungeons before the transatlantic journey in those wretched slave ships. Ase.

It's the trauma and wounds from being a throw-a-way RAD child that has everything to do with my transition into adulthood and the challenges I've conquered. All my successes in life and family development are rooted in my childhood trauma. In my later years I have no regrets and wouldn't change my past. Which is clearly an impossible task.
