For 20 bucks, went a head and picked up the Afro action
I got my eye on roman leather.i love tomatoes leaf smell.
Makes sense - maceration is key , esp w these funky beast scents. I am curious about the Afro Leather tbh

@@KingdomScents It has been shocking to see how my various middle eastern fragrances have improved as they macerated and the nasty scent profiles have evaporated out of the solution and oxygen gets in there and mixes with the oils.
I haven't smelled the original but you are spot on about the afro leather that fragrance is a super bang for your buck.

@@osmathgreenle8986it’s not for me but I can see how others enjoy it. For my taste there are many other fragrances in the price range I’d choose to wear over it but it was worth trying.

Thanks for the review, i bought the roman leather and yes its beatiful. The transition from top to bottom, from italian green herbs to leathery sweet. Agreed its $80-90 frags, and i bought it for just $12 😅
Does Afro Leather need to macerate? I just got mine and it smells HORRIBLE! 😢
Absolutely. I left mine for about 2-3 months and when I picked it up, it was great

Russe Leather got me by surprise, I had such low expectations, and it was truly amazing just picture like you are in a wild wet jungle while smelling hints of leather in the background very aromatic, soft and smooth. I keep coming back to the bottle to smell it. Actually loved it way more than Afro leather which I may let go but Russe I'm keeping!

As a woman, I actually ordered one you didn’t speak about: Russe Leather.
It. Is. Incredible!
On me it’s lavender throughout the life of the fragrance, with nutmeg, Tonka, and a soft white suede.
I blind bought Etui Noir from my fave house, Miller Harris hoping it would smell like the Russe does.
Are there any of the three mentioned here you feel a woman could more easily pull off?

First time checking your channel. Nice work and good video! I ordered Afro Leather recently and it came in today. I’m about to check it out. Based on how it smells I’ll get Dublin Leather, Roman Leather, and Russe Leather too.
Make sure you let it macerate. It will smell way better after a few weeks of spraying it
@@KingdomScentsmost definitely. I have seen the importance of letting air get to fragrances. I liked Afro Leather upon first spray. I received Russe Leather today. Do you have that one? It’s a pretty masculine scent kind of old school fougere-ish but it’s good. I now need to get African Leather and Russian Leather. I can’t find Dublin Leather or Roman Leather.

Solid 7-8 hours on my skin but I would not call it mass appealing. It is a niche fragrance DNA

man. i am so glad you're saying they need time after a few sprays.... I wasnt sure if maceration was mostly a myth - I bought 2x of the Dublin and 2x of the Roman, as well as 1x afroleather - and I feel on first spray, it's not there for me (knowing the way the OGs smell). Love to hear it from someone who has had them longer!

I'm a big fan of leather perfumes and have a large collection.ecently, I bought Dublin Leather and Afro Leather. After some maceration, Dublin Leather has become one of my favorites. I absolutely love this perfume.
If this afro leather compared to velved oud, which do you prefer??

between the roman leather and dublin, i prefer the dublin personally - I find the roman to be very vanilla-leaning
Depends. Dublin leather is natural green smelling. Roman leather is vanilla sweet smelling
