When rev came out, he was this nightmare, this monster that changed the feel of the game. But ever since I felt they gave up on his lore, making him lose fights lore wise and seemingly become more “nice”. Like all bark no bite. But this, revenant reborn just sounds so badass and promising. Can’t wait to see it.

Rev main here. Not sure how I feel about the new skin because I've grown so attached to his old look but if I get to keep the skins I already own on him then it's all good. The new animations... they look pretty good. I do hope they keep his pacing animation, that just fits him so well.
the skin looks fairly similar to the old one joint and posture wise, I wouldn't be surprised if his old skin could fit on the new animations. So I wouldn't worry about them changing the old legendary skins (idk about the epics and rare ones though), I do hope we can atleast use the old rev model if we want.

The way i see it I'm thinking that they are not going to be releasing a new legend next season but instead replacing revenant with rev reborn since it will technically almost be like having a new legend because of a complete rework to his model and abilities. Something else I'm hoping for is that considering next season will lead into halloween, they might bring back quests (PvE) that can help create some new lore for rev reborn
Thats a possibility but if you think about it the remodel and the mythic skin are actually 2 different files, is just that the mythic skins is under the new name that they gave him, ok with that being said all seasons we know the mythic skin almost from the start when we found those files, and every skin or heirloom comes with a few balance changes to the legend, this means that there's a huge probability of that rework coming out with the new mythic skin
As a rev main im both glad and nervous. Would love to see him get buffed but i like what he is and what he has at the moment. Thing im most nervous for is his voice and personality, i really hope those stay the same

I really do hope it's all for a massive Revenant overhaul and not just a prestige skin. I have to imagine it is given that the best time to do a rework for an entire character is when their prestige skin releases. But regardless of all of this, I'm extremely excited to see Revenant getting some much needed attention. He's outclassed and outskilled by another scary murderbot that can do everything better than him, he's sort of like the "crotchety old man that talks about the horrors of war" while Ash is the cool new bot with all the fun tech and gadgets. I'm just itching for a change that makes him more fun, gives him mobility tech that doesn't ruin wall-bouncing, and allows him to have a viable ult instead of whatever monstrosity Death Totem is supposed to be.

You know this melee ability concept i've always thought of? A scythe melee that deals 35 dmg and silences enemies. I also thought of making his ult single player use and he crushes a skull and will leave a lil smoke chain portal where he will rewind to. Of course the portal cant be destroyed and the scythe has slightly better range than a melee and for the passive I think that making his actions more silent except when gun related and heal related also making him be able to hang on walls for 3 seconds would be good. I might've made this version a lil op or worse but what do ya'll think.

I disagree. I’d prefer an entire kit rework. His death totem has either been a nuisance to his team or the people affected. The range prevented it from being effective in the beginning (as well as the health problem where you were at 1 once reset and Caustics could just eliminate the whole team by just setting a trap, never mind the fact that it hardly was an advantage since you didn’t get any buffs or health increases anyway, no shadow state from the game mode or anything) but then caused concern once it was removed. To compensate, they added a noise indicator that was super loud but people still complained so they added a huge visual indicator and now you’re just telling the entire lobby where you’re at. His tactical is only effective if you’re team already has an advantage in the fight, preventing escapes. Otherwise, it simply creates even ground between the Rev and the other person affected. The passive is well, just there. More importantly tho, he doesn’t feel like the legend he was framed to be in his introduction or how he’s represented in scenes like “Fight or Fright”. I think a rework that does justice to the identity he assumes. “The shadow mercenary”, relentless in his pursuit and hoards an array of tech including his shadow control to chase after targets; almost like a ghost, or a classic horror folktale. Just a name that inspires fear in the games, quiet yet effective with his motives.

There are legends that already have this like Valk, and they are totally different from each other, one is to track and the other one is a jetpack. Maybe a melee passive + his current passive would make him more fun to play because most of the time his current passive fails when you bumped your head with any obstacles when climbing, but with a melee upgrade passive you can atleast trust that always and you don't have to loose an important part for his kit for Rev players.
I think Rev Reborn abilites should be: He only gets the "death totem ability" for his ULT. (Like the trailer) Tactical can be an increased melee attack. (Hand turns to spike, heirloom does animation) Passive I hope somewhat stays the same. It was good for scaling the terrain like no other legend. And sneaky like an assasin. (Hopefully they just add the rumored wallrun)

Honestly revs knife hands are always shown off but never part of anything outside of a rare heirloom animation. The new emote he has for this season has him jabbing repeatedly with those hands. Kind of hints something imo.

(I thought, it's not a leak). passive _ stalker, is the same as before but with the addition that he can cling to the surface for a short period. ult _ immortal ghost, it takes a long time (like 3 to 5 minutes) to charge, but for each kill (does not count assistance) it carries a small percentage of the ult, when activated revenet (and only it) enters shadow mode, in this mode he gains speed, physical damage and improved jump, but loses the ability to recover life and use weapons. While in this mode, any player killed becomes a shadow follower and attacks the first player he finds or creature he finds. dies after the first attack or if health is reduced to zero, there can be no more than two follwer with Revenet. (I don't know the tactic, I didn't think of something that matched)
So, Revenant Reborn is likely the Prestige Skin. It most likely is the next Prestige skin, which will likely be paired with a Up-to-Date rework of Revenant. Love Revenant, purchased his Heirloom, cannot wait to see the results.
He's gonna be a new character with new skins for you to buy. They won't allow us to use the skins we already have for the old Revenant if they can make more money.
I really hope they replace his melee animation with his stabby fingers thing I don't even care if it does the exact same amount of damage as all the other punching animations. i've always been frustrated that he has stabbie fingers and doesn't use them
As a revenant main i hope They Dont get rid of The passive as Its his only real movement ability. I have had many situations where his crouch walking and wall climbing has Been very useful.

They have shrunk and increased hit boxes in the past & not had problems with skins so it still may happen.

I really hope they replace his melee animation with his stabby fingers thing I don't even care if it does the exact same amount of damage as all the other punching animations. i've always been frustrated that he has stabbie fingers and doesn't use them
As a revenant main i hope They Dont get rid of The passive as Its his only real movement ability. I have had many situations where his crouch walking and wall climbing has Been very useful.

I actually really like the character, style and overall concept of Rev, and I was actually really hoping they'd change him for season 17, but at the same time idk how they’re gonna rework him, the idea of them totally changing him and old Rev being gone forever feels weird

I have an idea for the next legend focused on melee like have higher melee damage and tracking so it is like close combat legend XD

I wouldn't want a special ability to his melee not because I won't think it's cool but I think if they do they would need to do it for other characters as it will be at least cooler
