This is such good news. Second hand stores aren't selling used mattresses anymore so they go straight to the dump. Obvious reasons, I suppose but what a waste.

I don't know if you have any say in this, but if I had the resources myself, I'd turn the foam into affordable gymnastics equipment. A gymnastics vault alone is 1000 usd on amazon!
Also, I know this sounds silly at first, but keep in mind, all of the poor kids learning parkour/gymnastics, they're either A. not doing it, or B. risking serious injuries. I would love to see someone solve this with the growing interest in parkour, gymnastics, ninja warrior, it would be really positive for communities.

AGREED! I have recently been attempting floor sleeping and have experimented with minimal mattresses, and now sleep on a NATURAL LATEX mattress from latex trees. It is super springy unlike memory foam(which is horrible for the spine to sink like that. I absolutely am sold as far as natural latex mattresses and will be a lifelong customer! I wonder if natural latex mattresses from % trees are compostable or not? 🤔🤔

Totally forgot to mention: the latex mattress is actually a mattress "Topper" but I'm a minimalist and decided to use that as my primary mattress. Also because it is super firm and absolutely wonderful and I don't feel like I'm depriving myself at all!
