Put some appealing dinos nearby. This will help to pump up the interest and guest count on that area. This will solve your profit problem. If you don!t have space to do that, replace the amenity with a small one. If guest count is less than 175, it can be enough there.
I'm currently playing the Jurassic World chaos theory. I haven't had any problems with any of the other maps and think i have a pretty good understanding of how the amenities work, but just can't get it to work properly on this map. I have 99% of coverage with all three types of small amenities. I only have the necessary and best modules for maximum income and the amenities are full to the brimnwith guests. But i still have a lot of amenities who are given me negative income. So i thought i might have to many, but if i demolish any of those, then the path goes red an tells me they need more amenities. I have tried upgrading to bigger amenities, but they still give negative income. I have tried deactivating them, but that does not do anything other than not loosing the income, wich helps, but doesn't solve my problem with not making more profit. I have tried upgrading all the paths, even tho they are not complaining about overcrowded paths, but that doesn't do anything. I have tried demolishing the amenities that make negative income and then making more paths so the amenities that do make profit, reach further, but that doesn't make more profit either. I am beginning to really hate the way the amenity system works. They don't explain it well enough. There has to be other underlying systems that has an influence on the amenities, that i just can't figure out on this map. It ruins the fun having to constantly go through all the amenities and all the modules. There should just be a research option to make em automatically optimized. Like researching a manager for the amenity that does the job for you, so you can concentrate on the other aspects of the park. It's also frustrating when you choose the modules and it shows what profit you would get, but after you have chosen it, it can change to a negative income right after. F#@ing hate it right now.
I fully agree that there should be a better in game explanation and automation option for amenities. I haven't seen your bug before, my experience has always been that a small amenity running with it's max of about 200 guests and the right modules should be making 15-18 thousand.
I had the same problem it's the flow of the guest type as you expand your park you have to micro those amenities more as time goes on. Honestly the best thing to eventually do is ignore the coverage if it just makes no profit at all. Your star rating is really linked to your profit margin. On a separate note for power consumption/cost. Go for the tier 5 fence (without power). If your dinosaurs are happy with their areas you need not fear a break out. I was at one point where power was eating through my funding even with the minimum power. When I changed all my tier 4 fences to tier 5 it cut the power cost to more than half. Which ticked up my overall budget from the red into the green.
@@roberts.2300 I got it to work better now. I demolished all the amenities that made no profit. And let time run by to get more money in the bank. It was really hard to get through the storms and as time went by the dinos died and i then fewer guest showed up, and that ment less profit through amenities. I had to make dinos, but still couldn't effort the ones that had as good a rating as tho ones that died, and that ment less guests and less profit and more demolished amenities and more micro managing. There are a couple things. People have said the Jurassic world chaos mission is problematic for that. It may have to do with loosing visibility of a high appeal dinosaur in the area of the park where your amenity is.
@@TeddyNinja ahh yeah ok thanks that is the mission I'm currently playing. It stinks that's the only way to make money and everything is so expensive compared to JWE1
Do you have to wait a couple of minutes after placing amenities before configuring them? I can never get them to make a profit as soon as they're built
You can start configuring them even when they are still being constructed from my experience. The game does not have any lag between when you make changes to your park and guests reacting, aside from some small delay in guests walking to entirely new zones of the park.
no matter how many videos i watch explaining it the anemities never work and alays give me huge negative products, frontier needs to just make them how they were in the first game, that was so much simpler.
Quick question so I'm having problems with the JW1 chaos theory and it's amenities it's showing red where amenities are needed but no matter then configurations I put it's still a loss in profit how would I fix that?
It is likely coming down to how many guests are there / the size of the amenity. Try a smaller amenity or if there aren't enough guests there to turn a profit leave it red and don't worry about it. Having low amenity coverage percentage doesn't really matter it's the income that is important for stars. If you're still having issues I would recommend saving and reloading because that works as a soft reset for several bugs.
I got a big issue, when i do the ammenities sometimes out of no where they go from +19,000 to -19000 and im really loosing money fast right now, any tips?. also alot of the time it will say "projected guest 100" and as soon as i place it i get about 4
Hmm, I'm not sure what is causing your projections to be that far off. If you are playing on the Jurassic World Chaos map it has had consistent issues with amenity performance. Otherwise amenities can tank if a storm lowers your visitor count, or say you have a high appeal dino in an exhibit with low visibility and they are out of sight of the guests for a while. Also having similar amenities too close together can sabotage their performance. Hope you're able to get your park back on track.
The issue I am having with amenities right now is that I have a set park, i change NOTHING, and the stupid buildings need to be CONSTANTLY micromanaged. they freaking change the type of customer constantly and it makes no sense!
Publicity hits how many guests will come to your park, but it automatically increases back to 100 if you get a decrease so I almost all cases it can be ignored
@@jaithmarsh6469 Gotcha, overcrowding means you need more amenity space. If you're already on the largest size of amenities then you can help the overcrowding by placing some new ones near by.
If you are configuring your amenities but not making more money you might now have very many guests visiting the amenity. It will tell you how many guests are there and how many are max for the location. To have a better profit margin you can use a smaller amenity or find a more crowded location.
The appearance is separate from the game mechanics, I believe this is a preferable feature for players who like customizing their park for appearances. You are able to edit the sign up front to match what you are selling if you want.
I’m on jw chaos theory and all of my amenities have negative profits and I don’t know why I pick one general sell and it doesn’t give me money Just negatives And the upgrades for the certain types of guests only make it worse for some reason
There must be something going on with that chaos mission, someone else said the exact same thing. They got a response that the guest type during the mission keeps on changing but it seems odd to me. Saving and reloading is a reset for most of the bugs in the game. I may need to do a video on this chaos mission.
I have tried something and it worked for me you just make the money so cheap when there are low people in the building and when more and more people join boost up your money
If you've made them suitable to the kinds of guests in that part of the park but they still aren't turning a profit then yeah you should be able to get rid of them.
Hmm, I was often finding myself hitting a wall around 4 stars as well. Without knowing your park its hard to say what's holding you back. I have a let's play beating the Jurassic Park chaos theory if you want to see what my park looked like. The final episode is here: ruclips.net/video/jTExfZkhziQ/видео.html
Usually during storms I just spam repair with my ranger teams as soon as buildings are damaged. On one of the challenge maps the storms were especially bad so I invested in the storm defense upgrades.
My biggest annoyance with amenities is that the bars keep changing. I'll set them all into the white, and then a few minutes later I'll come back and 2 of them are in the red again, and the other two have far too much white!
@@TeddyNinja Indeed. It might be because those amenities were not quite full, and so I might be getting different amounts of different guest types. I'm still trying to get my head around the attractions modules too, and how they influence the amenities. And I'm not quite sure if amenity locations influence the guest types, like will more adventure guests come along if there's a carnivore fight, or hunt happening, etc.
@@JoeBob79569 amenities themselves do not attract guest types, they only service what's in the area. Guests are drawn to the park and specific areas of the park based on other attractions and dinosaur types. I don't think current dinosaur behavior changes guest distribution.
@@TeddyNinja Ah right. Thanks! Maybe it's just the dino's infamy rating that attracts adventure guests then? I kind of thought that hunts and fights would attract guests because the game seems to make a big deal about it, telling you when it's happening and all that. Maybe giving my T-Rex a constant supply of Struties wasn't the best idea so! 🤣
So I only recently started the Malta expansion and holy crap, so here is the kicker, if you are struggling with profits and if your amentities are not turnign a profit within 30 minutes of park operations or cannot maintain positive income within those thirty minutes and no matter what you do, shut it down because they require customers to be reliable and no customers or too little customers means the building is a liability unless you are able to turn a profit else where. There is no way to get more guests in without dinos. The game doesn't teach you about this. Also, be sure to omit dinos that require something like sand from your park as there is a chance they will spend an hour forming territory and if there is more sand than the sand in the large desert in the world, remove the dino. Also if you want to be a penny pincher, guests will make do when it comes to shelter but the definitive shelters are prefered. Oh and don't be a moron like me, remember that taking pictures is worth taking as you do get cash for it, I forget because every other fucking game, the camera is solely for social media and does completely nothing. Also, can someone help me, I am doing the Malta expansion and I get a notification for a new contract but I can't seem to start them, I get a small pop up and not a big one that saids "PICK A CONTRACT OR ELSE", in short, I like the immediate pop up that "forces" you to choose but not where you get a passive pop up, no idea how to bring that up myself, and the game doesn't seem to tell me how nor are there any guides online.
Bro I go bankrupt every time a back up generator runs out and I can’t get mosasaur in challange mode so I am literally crying trying to fix the issue without losing ratings

@@chefofthedinonuggies6377 hmm well every challenge mission is different in how they handicap you. I have videos beating all of them though if you want to see what worked for me.
I would be okay with the amenity system if the game actually gave you a tutorial on it and not just "place the amenities in red zones." i did end up going bankrupt in my Jurassic park 1 because i couldnt figure out why some building were just losing money even though i had great amenity coverage. now that i have them optimized to make the most money i just keep getting notifications of "the guests want more amenities." but if i add said amenities im gonna lose money.. this game can be quite frustrating with its explanations of things. i had the same problem with the park tour system. If the player cannot figure out how to best optimize the tool you are giving them based on information found in the game then the tutorial really needs to be redone. you should never have to rely on information outside the game to simply play the game.
I fully agree, especially when this is a full release and not Early Access, right? At the same time my channel is partially founded as the outside tutorial for games that don't properly explain how they operate :)
@@TeddyNinja For a full release its pretty sloppy.. I did get the game plus its DLC in its last sale that was roughly 50% off so i suppose i cant complain too heavily. what ive seen of your channel it looks great! right to the point and great at explaining so its easy to understand.
Amenities are glitched. Just give your whiny guests what they deserve Small amenities. The game is always telling me people are complaining there aren't enough amenities but when you build them where they're needed no matter what they always go negative and I'm tired of configuring as much as I can only to be making over -$17,000. So I decide to give them small amenities cause screw them. They ask for them but don't go in then why bother? I stopped building them. They make very little profit. I'm almost at five stars in chaos mode and I focused on dinosaurs instead of both Either they patch the buggy amenities or just stop building them like I did. They're a waste of your time and money. Money that could be used to get more dinosaurs instead of wasting it on pointless buildings that only get fifty guests or less. Configuring them only makes makes the income decrease. I started seeing progress when I decided to stop building amenities and just added more dinosaurs to my park. They're not worth the effort
Hmm, is your experience from the Jurassic World mission? Multiple people have said amenities are not working for them on that mission.
Eventuely i got to a tipping point and found a balance and started to gain more profit. And then be able to afford better dinos, and then more guests in the park and more amenities, but while going back and forth with storms that almost ruines me every time. But now im able to proceed and has gotten through to the next mission tasks. But damn, it's like a fulltime job😂
Omg thanks this helped😊
Mine always keeps acting wierd , one second it's all running well with all the check marks and one second later it's unchecking things and going negative , when nothing has changed
If you're playing on the Jurassic World chaos theory map that's a common bug/scenario feature people have reported.
@@TeddyNinja yes I am , I am stuck on the one called jurassic park I think it's level 4 , after this one there is one more, but either my shops get buggy or I get hit by a tornado destroying everything or before I can build dinosaurus they die of old age , first time I had this much trouble with a map , I had a good running park last attempt untill I messed up, I upgraded my scientist and suddenly my budget went negative and could not get it back up it's really frustrating to keep starting over
Anyone help. What I can't figure out is why guest suddenly stop shopping at the amenities one minute it's at the top the next it drops to negative.
@@PeaceandLuke yeah your amenities are supposed to be 40-60% of your income here.
@@TeddyNinja thanks I appreciate it
it didnt work for me on jurassic world chaos theory with the bit where u have to increase the profit per minute bit
Idk how to get dinosaurs in my enclosure in sandbox can anyone help? And how do you repair damaged buildings?
Thanks 😊 🙏 helped alot
Thanks bro👍
Thanks a lot!!
Thanks Broo 👍
Thank youuu!!
no matter how many videos i watch explaining it the anemities never work and alays give me huge negative products, frontier needs to just make them how they were in the first game, that was so much simpler.
How to change it to a shopping or drinks amenity
What are you playing in??
I CANNOT profit. I had to completely restart. I was so far along!
Are you playing on Jurassic world chaos? I've had a number of people say amenities are jacked up on that level.
@@TeddyNinja I am, yes
The tornados make me rage quit. The one I had lasted around 30 seconds. I was so mad.
Good video
I don’t understand the publicity stuff. I’m just like sure I’ll take 5million for a 25% hit
Publicity hits how many guests will come to your park, but it automatically increases back to 100 if you get a decrease so I almost all cases it can be ignored
Can you please explain a little more how I am supposed to get rid of the huge loss of 200+ guests that I’m losing from my large amenities? Thanks!
When you say loss of guests do you mean the guests are overcrowding the amenity, or it's running at around 200 guests under its capacity?
Overcrowding
@@jaithmarsh6469 Gotcha, overcrowding means you need more amenity space. If you're already on the largest size of amenities then you can help the overcrowding by placing some new ones near by.
How do you give them drinks? I’m putting down amenities And it’s only doing food… oh I got it I’m just stupid haha.
question i do this but my profit doesn’t go up can u help me?
If you are configuring your amenities but not making more money you might now have very many guests visiting the amenity. It will tell you how many guests are there and how many are max for the location. To have a better profit margin you can use a smaller amenity or find a more crowded location.
@@TeddyNinja ty i’ll try this
@@TeddyNinja should i delete all the amities that’s not making money and add a new one?
@@zion7927 if there are not enough guests shopping there and you have a smaller amenity you can build that should help.
@@TeddyNinja k
why do my Amenities not have what they say they have? it has a sign for doughnuts but when I look at the sign it not for doughnuts!
The appearance is separate from the game mechanics, I believe this is a preferable feature for players who like customizing their park for appearances. You are able to edit the sign up front to match what you are selling if you want.
the profits only go up to 100k and I cant get it higher please help
I can't seem to get a profit on any of my amenities...
If you're on the Jurassic world chaos theory mission there is a common issue with amenities not making any profit.
I just started the game and I'm only making 2$ from guest services how do I fix it
If you just started you probably need to attract more people to your park to increase profits.
@@TeddyNinja ok thanks I also just realised this was the 2nd game as I'm playing the 1st one 🤣
Thank you so much
My shops are doing well at first then they just crash. I cant get them all to bring cash ggrrr
I’m on jw chaos theory and all of my amenities have negative profits and I don’t know why
I pick one general sell and it doesn’t give me money
Just negatives
And the upgrades for the certain types of guests only make it worse for some reason
There must be something going on with that chaos mission, someone else said the exact same thing. They got a response that the guest type during the mission keeps on changing but it seems odd to me. Saving and reloading is a reset for most of the bugs in the game. I may need to do a video on this chaos mission.
I have tried something and it worked for me
you just make the money so cheap when there are low people in the building and when more and more people join boost up your money
What do I do if they keep giving me - cash do I demolish them
If you've made them suitable to the kinds of guests in that part of the park but they still aren't turning a profit then yeah you should be able to get rid of them.
The amenities are so frustrating for me. I build in an area of “high demand” and end up taking a loss no matter what I change.
Bro I can't get to 5 stars on the Jurassic Park choas theory, I am stuck on 4.1 stars.
How did You protec the park from the storms Tha won't bring You o afect Your porofitt sale or You friking Game
Yeah it becomes frustrating to micro manage. What's happening is the game is saying the ratios of guest types in the area is changing.
Good luck getting that 5* park!
(If you're looking for advice trying to power game through a challenge mode I recommend multiple tylosaurus instead of mosasaur)
@@TeddyNinja yea but I’m tryna get mosasaur so I can use it in sandbox and I go bankrupt before I get 2 million to research
@@chefofthedinonuggies6377 hmm well every challenge mission is different in how they handicap you. I have videos beating all of them though if you want to see what worked for me.
Unlock the Small Power Plants, backup generators are to expensive.
So how does one get more signage?
There's a tab labeled "decorations." Some options are senario specific but that's where they'll be.

Are you playing on Jurassic world chaos map? It's a common issue that amenities don't make money on that challenge map.
@@TeddyNinja yeah, the 4th chaos map.. I've set em up exactly as they are in the video and I'm losing loads...
@@Fynny1976 Yeah, specifically the Jurassic world chaos map has amenities behave differently than the rest of the game.
Mine don’t profit. No matter what I do. The damn things are a burden. Not a money farm
Amenities are glitched. Just give your whiny guests what they deserve
Small amenities. I'm almost at five stars in chaos mode and I focused on dinosaurs instead of both
Either they patch the buggy amenities or just stop building them like I did.
I have not done that mission but have played most of the other chaos and challenge missions and make between 40 and 50% of my profits from amenities so I think they are definitely worth it.
@@TeddyNinja its the Jurassic park one
But after I made that comment I figured it out randomly. I just randomly placed one down and made it whatever and got profit. I also experimented and tried moving one of them. Surprisingly worked. I took down the ones that weren't working at all
