So in this case it's like you're already there and you travel "inside" Philippines, the focus is not on going there, like when you use 行く、来る or 帰る :)

Sensei you used なら with noun and na adj in ば conditional form.
it think であれば is used istead of なら.

You can and it will still convey the meaning. But the nuance will be different and it’s usually not used in that context.
